Please change Jeonghan's name to Junghan and Woowoo to Wonwoo Yehetmel (talk) 02:19, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
- Partly done: I changed WooWoo to WonWoo per the band's website. However, it lists the other band member as Jeonghan so that is going to have to stay unless you can provide a source that would override the band's own website. --Stabila711 (talk) 02:41, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Add a show under the "filmography" section, sub-section television, sub-sub-section variety shows. In 2016, they were on a variety show called The Boss is Watching, featuring all members. 74.101.168.185 (talk) 21:21, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- I was unable to verify your claim. Please provide a reliable source (such as a news article) showing that they were on the variety show. Altamel (talk) 17:36, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
sickness ost
[edit]In the original soundtrack section, the drama isn't Love Sickness, it's Love Revolution. Please change it. 86.4.37.106 (talk) 22:12, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- I was unable to find the section you are referring to. Altamel (talk) 17:36, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- it's here, check the section that says original soundtrack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventeen_discography. Also, according to seventeen's official instagram (saythename_17), the album is called 'love letter' and it will be released on 25 apr. 86.4.37.106 (talk) 00:49, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
Please fix typo
[edit]Hi, please fix the typo in the following sentence: "This album will be released as a Love version and a Letter version, much the same as the Boys Be album had two seperate versions." -> It should be "separate". Thanks! 80.140.250.221 (talk) 20:23, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Tour
[edit]Under where it mentions their 2016 Shining Diamonds tour, could you please add New Zealand? They held a concert in Auckland at Vector Arena, and New Zealand is neither in Singapore nor Australia. If it is possible, could this please be added? Adding variety show to filmography
[edit]I was wondering why when i added tv shows and a section for variety shows, or adding members who participated in the show, it gets deleted as 'irrelevant info'. I don't understand? Why is my hard work being removed?
I dont think it's irrelevent info Mintsuga1010 (talk) 00:08, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- What is the point of having this list of variety show guest appearances on here? So fans can look up exactly what episode of what variety show their favorite idol appears in? Just because Taylor Swift appears on The View (or any other TV shows) for an interview, we don't see any filmography page gets created for such a list, do we? These K-pop idols appear as guest in variety shows many times per year. Many times, it is trivial and does not have any important values to their career. It is ridiculous to list every single one of them and it's irrelevant in this sense. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a resume.--TerryAlex (talk) 01:55, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- Okay i understand but many other kpop idols have this section with 'Variety Show' under filmography and displays the members etc. I thought it was useful and not irrelevant info.? But fine, if it is not accepted then I'll not include it anymore. Also why are some of the television programmes listed there? When some of them are also variety shows and some I included which are normal TV shows got deleted and were quite big/significant shows in Seventeen's career Mintsuga1010 (talk) 17:20, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- As K-pop idols sometimes have on-the-side projects such as their own reality shows or if one of the members become a long-term host for a music show, then perhaps, that would be acceptable as it’s a part of their work. But a guest appearance on Weekly Idol or Running Man, then no. As for Seventeen, I’m not one of their fans and not the editor who reverted your edit, so I cannot say for sure. Perhaps, editors who have better knowledge about Seventeen than I do can give you a better explanation. PeppermintGlow, can you elaborate? (And just because other K-pop articles are plagued with the same misinformed activities doesn’t mean this page has to apply the same thing). Thank you.--TerryAlex (talk) 18:00, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- The reason for those shows still being displayed is twofold: first of all, I've already attempted to take them off over five times and people keep tacking them back on, so I gave up; and second of all, I hesitate because I had to learn how to use code in Wikipedia for this page specifically and I still somehow manage to obliterate any table code I touch, especially when shows have been tacked in between others. The only shows that have real relevance to Seventeen are Big Debut Plan and One Fine Day, as they are the only shows in which Seventeen are the central topic of each episode. I'll update the table as soon as possible. Thanks! -- PeppermintGlow (talk) 20:04, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

- The variety shows are now back in a fork, SEVENTEEN Variety Show Appearances. Should this be nominated for deletion? —C.Fred (talk) 12:11, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yes it should, I proposed the deletion, if the user will remove the template without an explanation why this few guest appearances would need an article, it will go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Snowflake91 (talk) 12:29, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
Tours section removed?
[edit]Hi, can you please explain why the Tours section of this page was removed? If there is 'no need' for a separate page that's fine, but I don't understand the 'no there's nothing there' explanation. Considering the fact that Seventeen has completed two tours, shouldn't the page still reflect them in a section? Or is there not enough significance to place them in their own section? Could you please elaborate, Drmies? -- PeppermintGlow (talk) 11:21, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Completing two tours isn't really significant at all. This is what bands do routinely. If the content isn't verified by notable, reliable, independent secondary sources, it's probably not of encyclopedic value. Drmies (talk) 15:25, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
Unsourced content in members section
[edit]In the section members, the names and date of birth are all unsourced. It was added by Abdotorg recently. I am generally never comfortable with adding unsourced bio details. Can we either add sources or remove this please? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 15:35, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Please change Category:Korean pop music groups to Category:South Korean pop music groups. This is a nationality category tree rather than a genre category tree, and the latter is the correct by-nationality category for groups active after the division of Korea. Change "Seventeen has released two studio albums and four extended plays" to "Seventeen has released one special album, one compilation album, five extended plays, and eight singles." ReservedTea (talk) 09:13, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Not done The special album and compilation albums don't hold enough significance to be pointed out like that, and as the singles were released under albums, we'll only mention the albums - this could be revisited if Seventeen ever release a well-received single outside of an album. As for EPs, I'd rather wait until YMMD is actually released. PeppermintGlow (talk) 12:07, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

In 2018 boys did alot of stuff.
Please talk about their appearances in Vareity Shows.
Like Hoshi was in creaking heroes and Seungkwan in Unexpected Q. Junhui and Minghao in CYZJ and Joshua and Vernon in Idol hits.
Their song thanks was their first song to rank no 1 on melOn. The song did well on melOn despite being promoted only for 2 weeks.
Add BooSeokSoon debut. Like it's success and music genre.
And please Please PLEASE
Edit them being one of the top 5 in Kpop industry. And them being the 5 fifth boy group to have more than 2 million sales Junshirt (talk) 19:34, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- Not done I'm afraid variety show appearances are not relevant for this page. China Line's appearance on CYZJ could be nominated on grounds of musical importance, but only on members' own personal pages which hitherto do not exist. MelOn 1st ranking isn't really deemed important overall - just as we don't make note of their firsts on other charts except Gaon Chart, which is the wikipedia-accepted chart. BSS debut and any relevant information regarding it is filed in a subsection under the members category. As for the top 5 - I've heard the news and I'm heckin excited, but I've yet to find a reputable Korean source for it. If you have one please send it to me and it will be added ASAP! ~Add a "Variety Show" section instead of completely disregarding the fact that we can't add it into filmography. Clean-up 10.2019
[edit]In order to clean up dated, irrelevant or biased information, I've combed through this page and picked out things that weren't necessary and added others in. However, I think the information regarding the 2015 Like Seventeen - Boys Wish concerts, and the 17 Japan Concert: Say The Name #Seventeen is also irrelevant and applicable for deletion. On the other hand, I don't know whether these small concert series are valid enough to stay in without becoming trivial in light of larger concerts and tours the group has been on. I have similar feelings about the 'Chapter 0.5 Before AL1' videos being mentioned, though I don't feel as strongly about those. Are there any thoughts on this? Abdotorg do you think they are valid enough to stick around? PeppermintGlow (talk) 00:56, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

- Seventeen (South Korean band) → Seventeen (group)
- Seventeen (Indonesian band) → Seventeen (band)
- SF9 (band) → SF9 (group)
– per WP:BANDDAB, I used "(group)" because South Korea's Seventeen members perform WITHOUT musical instruments (those members are mainly vocalists and rappers) while Indonesia's members perform with musical instruments (I used "(band)" for Indonesia's Seventeen). -St3095 (?) 07:46, 21 February 2021 (UTC)—Relisting. - Spectrum (band), Spectrum (group)
- Stockholm Syndrome (band), Stockholm Syndrome (group)
- The Choirboys (band), The Choirboys (group)
- Touch (band), Touch (group)
- Trademark (band), Trademark (group)
- Varsity (band), Varsity (group)
- There are also two cases where the group is not a musical ensemble:

- Oppose 1st and 2nd moves. There's not much point in making both titles more vague in the name of "conciseness". They can both be called "groups", and given that the South Korean group is a boy band, they can also be called a "band", so either title could inadvertently refer to the other one. The only thing that would accomplish is causing a bunch of users to end up on the wrong page. Paintspot Infez (talk) 01:33, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Is it time to question WP:BANDDAB? Wiktionary defines band as
A group of musicians who perform together...
and group asA ... group of people who perform music together
, which seem confusingly similar to me. Would the average reader really look for the member of Category:Indonesian alternative rock groups at Seventeen (band) but the similarly named boy band at Seventeen (group)? Certes (talk) 01:50, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Making a Wikipedia page for a member (DK)
[edit]I made a Wikipedia page for DK and it got accepted but was later removed and declined (twice).
