Tables[edit]

The tables in the bottom of this article need some work - the recent seasons section is entirely duplicated in the linked articles - why are they there? - and the section summarising top ten finishers is difficult to read and reeks of OR. Can we fix/delete some of this? --Falcadore (talk) 11:35, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course, go right ahead, any help is welcome. Calistemon (talk) 11:48, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But to answer your questions proberly, Falcadore: There is no original research, the top ten finisher tables are taken from the end-of-season tables of sidecarcross.com, cross-checked with the official FIM tables (Example: 2010). The last three seasons are there to tell people who were the top teams in the recent past. Few people would know much about the sport, its there as an overview. But they can just as easily be removed. As to the difficulty in reading them, you may, on a second look, notice that the 2010 one differs, its an attempt in improvment, something I'm trying all the time. Like I said above, any help is welcome, if you have any ideas, please contribute and share. Calistemon (talk) 11:58, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is still difficult to read, is very long, and really, wikipedia is not intended to be a stats resource, or a tool for compiling/re-compiling statistics displayed elsewhere. There are motorsport specific wikis for this, as well as the originating website. Text is far more important than 17k worth of graphically compiled stats that no-one but the hard-core fans would appreciate. --Falcadore (talk) 12:06, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What gives you the right to determined this, Falcadore? This article has been like this now for quite a few years, gradually expanded by me, and some others, until one fine day, Falcadore walks past, decides that it has to be the way he wants it and deletes a major portion of it. If you want to rewrite the article, fine, I would love you too, but just butting in and deleting massive amounts is a form of vandalism, very unconstructive! Calistemon (talk) 12:12, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So obscurity of subject makes you exempt from Wikipedia's editorial standards? If you think my actions are incorrect in either form, or correctness, I invite you to complain my behavior to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Motorsport and ask for their opinion on the appropriate response. If I'm wrong, I'll learn better. --Falcadore (talk) 12:22, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Falcadore, you are just a vandal, as already said above, and hidding behind some guide lines or wikiprojects won't really change that. There was nothing whatsoever constructive about your edit. Calistemon (talk) 12:33, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then report me as such. It is what the procedures are there for. --Falcadore (talk) 12:38, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not here to play little games with you and I'm really not all that interessted in talking to you either, Falcadore, truth be told. I rather wish I could just have finished the end-of-season work on the sidecarcross articles tonight instead of you crossing my path and wasting my time! Wins stats[edit]

It would be good to add most wins by driver, most wins by pasenger and most wins by driver-passenger teams. 185.18.60.191 (talk) 04:12, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
