Why is Biggs Darklighter on the list?

I know that Joe appeared on the Blue Harvest DVD, but why is he on the cast list of this episode? He's not one of the main characters in the movies, since the actual character was killed in Episode IV. I know that increases the odds of the character appearing here, but what possible evidence is there that can lead to the conclusion that Biggs will be in this episode at all? Also, I know that we can assume that the characters may be reprising their roles, but maybe we should just have Chris, Peter, Lois and Ernie on the list just to play it safe. I mean, you never really know what could happen. Immblueversion (talk) 04:17, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

so your saying That 3p0, Chewie, Obi-wan and r2 never appeared in episode 5? I beg to differ. And I heard death was playing the emperor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.100.95.85 (talk) 19:41, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
That is exactly NOT what I am saying, and I mean absolutely no offense whatsoever for saying that, so please do not take it personally. And I know it sounds crazy since the odds of the main characters being recast must be unfeasibly astronomical. I'm just trying to make a contribution that no one has to agree with. Now let's all try to keep a friendly atmosphere in this place. Immblueversion (talk) 22:43, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Stewie mentions the name

Stewie once said 'This is more exciting than when the emperor worked out the formla for great star wars dialog. then the emperor says, 'Something, something, something, something Dark Side, Something Something Something, Something Complete.' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.155.244 (talk) 01:56, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Will Ollie Williams really play Lando Calrissian?

I've just noticed that the claim that Seth Green accidentally revealed that Lando Calrissian will be played by Ollie Williams has no citations to outside sources. Personally, I would very much like Ollie to play Lando, but there really should be a confirmation to this claim. Immblueversion (talk) 00:58, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually there really was an interview revealing that. Its reviewed over a bunch of sites. And its rumored that Death will be The emperor. Still no source to yoda though.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.100.95.85 (talk) 18:29, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Should I try Googling it? If so, what should I search for? Also, I personally feel that Yoda should be played by the Evil Monkey. With this thing going around that Ollie will be Lando, it makes it all the more possible (the Monkey was seen as himself in the cantina of the previous episode). Besides, it's just the perfect match with Chris as Luke if you think about it! Death's not a bad choice for the Emperor, but they could also use someone more along the lines of evil like Bertram or George Bush (this is seriously what I think). Anyway, thanks for the help; I'll look into it. Immblueversion (talk) 21:33, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
No Problem. But Perhaps Francis (Peters Father) will portray yoda. And nice George Bush Idea. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.126.64.254 (talk) 23:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Just giving my opinions and respecting others', nothing more. And you probably mean step-father. Immblueversion (talk) 23:31, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
The thing is, Death isn't exactly evil. He's that kind of person who does his job but doesn't really like it. Obviously, the dark robes are a good match, but Death isn't 100% evil. Toolazy21 (talk) 14:04, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, Death pretty much isn't evil at all; killing people is his job, and a job that must be done. Immblueversion (talk) 01:05, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Give me a break. I mean they had people play characters not like they should in blue Harvest, and now your saying Death cant be sidious. I suggest you watch Blue Harvest again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.100.95.85 (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
All I'm doing is giving my opinions. I'm not saying Death can't be the Emperor, nor am I saying he won't; I'm just adding a few more possibilities. Let's not fight, please. Immblueversion (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Clearly they should move Joe to R2’s spot and make Cleveland Lando it ‘s just common sense he’s Peter’s friend in the show and Ollie just talks weird and really doesn’t have the hair for it like Cleveland has —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.66.53.99 (talk) 20:42, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, it is official: Ollie Williams is not going to play Lando. We may never know if what Seth Green said was true, but it has now been confirmed that a black Mort Goldman will fill the role. Now THAT is something I could never wait for. Immblueversion (talk) 01:30, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

WHO'S YODA?

sINCE MEG MADE A BRIEF APPEARANCE ON BLUE HARVEST,SHE MIGHT BE YODA! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.200.197.64 (talk) 01:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

As of now, Yoda's portrayer has not been confirmed. Personally, I keep picturing the Evil Monkey as Yoda; in fact, it is extremely easy for me to see the Monkey with Yoda's physical features. Also, considering that the Evil Monkey is similar in size with Yoda, has a connection to Chris as Yoda does with Luke, and that he has been known to speak at one point), the Evil Monkey seems to be the most probable contender for this character. But for now, we'll just have to wait until more official information is released which, hopefully, be released between now and the next few months. Immblueversion (talk) 22:35, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

New cast members?

I went on to this article just now and saw that someone put up Meg Griffin as the snow beast (Wampa) and Francis Griffin as the Emperor. As much as I appreciate such a claim, there is nothing listed in the article that proves it. I suppose I among other people who are curious should look into it; remember, this is not a wish list. Immblueversion (talk) 22:33, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Actually I have read on a bunch of sites about francis portraying yoda, but cant find official proof. Same with Death as the Emperor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.100.95.85 (talk) 18:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Are you sure it wasn't a forum? I've been hearing quite a bit of that on forums. Personally I think that some of these predictions are a bit crazy. But then again Family Guy is a crazy show, which is what I love about it. All I'm saying is that all our questions will be answered sooner or later, but definitely as late as when the episode comes out which, hopefully, be sooner than later... Savvy? Immblueversion (talk) 21:20, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I've just noticd that Meg was put up again, only this time she is shown portraying an Ugnaught (I know perfectly well what it is), and that Francis has been put up again as Palpatine. Was this confirmed? Only official cast information must be used. I've said this once and I'll say it again: it is not a wish list. I don't want to cause any trouble if you think I do; if that's the case, then I apologize. Just in case, we should leave the list be for now until more information can be obtained. Immblueversion (talk) 21:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
I have removed Meg and Francis from the list because I could not find any official sources that support their purported inclusion. If someone else has proof, then by all means put it back up. I mean no offense. Immblueversion (talk) 23:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Again, this is not a wish list. I have seen far too many characters on this list claiming that certain roles have been filled without any official information. Unless it can be provided, there is no point in it being up. Immblueversion (talk) 21:35, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Easter eggs

So, how do you access these Easter eggs the article mentions? Cromulent Kwyjibo (talk) 23:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

To get the table read, you have to go to the "Options" menu, highlight "Resume Episode" and push left. A bunch of yellow sparks should appear from the generator that you can select. To get the teaser trailer, do the same thing in the "Features" menu, but select the Fox promo instead. You should see yellow bubbles around where Meg's head keeps popping up. Just correct me if I'm wrong. Immblueversion (talk) 21:25, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Yoda?

Where the heck is Yoda? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.52.45.177 (talk) 00:43, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

The character list has not been officially announced. The list of characters is mainly speculation (except those that have been "leaked" by cast members). ~~ [Jam][talk] 01:07, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Maybe, the guy who says "Big Whoop! Wanna Fight About it" Can be yoda. That might be funny Lasttiger (talk) 01:41, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Only problem with that is the "Big Whoop wanna fight about it?" guy was killed in "Hell Comes to Quahog." Although since "SSSDS" is non-canonical, it might not matter.--DOHC Holiday (talk) 00:07, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
I bought a Lithograph poster for this episode, and it came with a Certificate of authenticity. http://www.flickr.com/photos/radiofish/3003698092/ Yoda will be played by Carl. But I see that it's already been removed from the page... Fish (talk) 19:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Error maybe

How will Peter/Han React to Bobba Fett/Giant chicken? I mean Peter loves Bobba Fett but he hates the giant chicken.58.163.63.198 (talk) 10:00, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Note that the cast list has not been confirmed yet - it is still up for change later. Plus, in the "Something ... Darkside" universe, Peter is playing the character of Han, so his "love" of Bobba Fett within the "Family Guy" universe would not factor into it. ~~ [Jam][talk] 10:06, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Release Date

Was just wondering if there was information out there that identified when this episode will be played, and/or when it comes out on DVD (Australia Preferably). MattyC3350 (talk) 10:20, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

It is unknown whether it is complete of not. But I have a snitch that this episode will either be the first or the last episode of the season. Lasttiger (talk) 01:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I have added a source indicating that this episode is scheduled to air as the season finale. Immblueversion (talk) 23:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

I think the release date is wrong. Everywhere else I have looked says the air-date will be the 27th September —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.72.26.40 (talk) 08:23, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

The season premiere is September 27, and is Road to Multiverse...Grande13 (talk) 14:00, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

reprising their roles

From what can be heard, Chris, Peter, and Lois will be reprising their roles from the previous episode. It has been further confirmed that Stewie, Brian, Quagmire, and Cleveland will be reprising their roles as well. I saw a poster on the internet somewhere that the Episode 6 parody will be called Return of the Griffins. Is there any way to confirm this? Emperor001 (talk) 15:00, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

what's the origin of the name? any relevance to dark side? or just that joke that stewie said in an episode.IAmTheCoinMan (talk) 12:32, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Read the last paragraph in the Background section. Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 14:44, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
"The title of this episode is a reference to a specific line from the season five episode "Barely Legal", which was used in a cutaway relating to Star Wars. The line is an inside joke relating to the Emperor figuring out the formula for great dialogue for Star Wars: while the Emperor was talking to a kneeling Darth Vader, he says "Something, something, something, dark side. Something, something, something, complete". The line can be heard in the trailer." 69.138.168.37 (talk) 01:58, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Citation of Plot

Really? Do we really need a citation for the plot? It's gonna have the exact same plot that "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" has. Can't we just cite the article on that? With all due respect, BrianGriffin-FG (talk) 00:31, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Well, the other one didn't have the exact plot, also, the cast list, mentioned in the plot, is unsourced. --HELLØ ŦHERE 00:36, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Cultural references.

Am I the only one who feels this section is way too long and just seems like another version of the plot mentioned above it? I think we need to fix this. It's all well and good to have this section, it's somewhat sourced and everything, but it seems really long and seems more like a list instead of prose. Just my opinion. --HELLØ ŦHERE 18:14, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

I think it can be fixed by removing a number of the cultural references from the plot itself, instead of removing cultural references from the cultural references section. Gage (talk) 02:05, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
I removed some of the cultural references from the plot section that are covered in the cultural references section. I'll try to expand the cultural references section, to be less trivial. Gage (talk) 02:51, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

The plot banner removal

Banners that express a concern should not be removed until the concern is addressed. This has not been done on several occasions and can be considered unproductive to the article and to wikipedia. The concern has been brought here. Do not remove the banner.--Jojhutton (talk) 19:51, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

There is nothing that should be removed or relocated from the plot section, therefore, the banner has been addressed. Thanks. Gage (talk) 19:54, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
You cannot decide that on your own. It needs to be discussed and you are showing serious ownership issues in this situation. Last time I checked, you are not in charge of this project. Stop removing banners, or this discussion may be continued at WP:ANI. I do not want it to come to that, so please stop removing the banner.--Jojhutton (talk) 20:01, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
What is your proposal then? Your only contributions to this article have been the addition of the banner, and nothing to actually address it. Gage (talk) 20:22, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Cut it to story plot only.--Jojhutton (talk) 20:30, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Be my guest. Gage (talk) 20:32, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
You need to reaad the banner, so others will know that there is a concern. You removed it, while violating WP:3RR. I am asking you to place it backbecause if I do, I will violate 3RR. My hands are tied at this point, the ball is in your court.--Jojhutton (talk) 20:39, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

But if we add the banner, with no plans, it's pretty pointless. It doesn't only have to be edited if there is a banner on it. If someone comes along, notices something, and fixes it, that's good. If not, that's okay too. After re-reading it, I noticed the section actually is a lot better than it was before. Can we think of anything that should be changed before we make a decision about adding it back or not, since that is the main concern. --HELLØ ŦHERE 20:53, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Banners in article space are used to notify other editors who come across them, that there may be something that can do to help improve the article. Its constant removal is not conducive to cooperative editing. It was obvious by the remover's edit summeries, that they had no intention in trying to allow cooperation to the project, because, according to him it was fine, just as it was. My hands are tied, I cannot remove anything else from the article, unless I violate 3RR. My next stop will be ANI, since 3RR was already breached by the removing editorm unless the banner is restored.--Jojhutton (talk) 21:13, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Wow good job, I really like how the second paragraph in Plot opens. Gage (talk) 19:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll remove the banner, but its still a bit too long. I didn't want to remove too much too soon. If you compare it to the plot in The Empire Strikes Back, this 50 minute plot is still longer than the 120 minute plot of the other.--Jojhutton (talk) 19:47, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Beginning of second paragraph in the plot makes no sense! --HELLØ ŦHERE 20:42, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

That's what I was pointing out, but they took it as a compliment. Gage (talk) 21:07, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Plot Length

The plot section is still far too long for 50 minutes of story. Especially when compared to The Empire Strikes Back. Please do not confuse story with plot. Story is everything that happens, while plot is only considered the part of the story that is relevant.--Jojhutton (talk) 01:13, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
