Suggested improvements[edit]

This article reads a bit like an advertisement and underemphasizes the early history and/or primitive aspects of Maine sporting camps. Description of the range of plumbing features might include pit toilets and carrying in water (to avoid piping which would be damaged by freezing when camps are unoccupied). Lighting fixtures might include kerosene lanterns and candles rather than electrical lighting. Description might include facilities or provisions to overcome the inconveniences of the Maine wilderness experience including biting insects during the summer and the possibility of being unexpectedly isolated by deep snow or icy roads during the winter. Timing of legislation or regulations mitigating or eliminating such inconveniences should be documented.Thewellman (talk) 00:16, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
