"Saint Albans were knocked out of the FA Trophy by Tamworth. They lost 2-1, and Scott Cousins, their defender, broke his leg."

When was this? Was it this season? It doesn't say.

"Saint Albans are currently 2nd in Conference South, and pushing for an astonishing promotion for the Conference. EFM."

Why would it be so astonishing? What does EFM mean?

Agreed - this appears complete rubbish. I've tidied up the grammar and await further developments 195.217.52.130 21:10, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why would it be astonishing?[edit]

Simply because of the size of the club and how our financial situation is different to alot of clubs around. Though financially stable their is not pot of gold. Other clubs, such as Weymouth who finished first and we pushed to the last week, have a lot more finances to draw from. This will be even greater in the conference next season where St. Albans City FC will be part-time and the majority of clubs full-time.

Copied text[edit]

I have removed the large copyvio from the history section. The text could be found on the official site, dated 28 July 2006, and was added by 82.16.220.252 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) on 16 September 2009. @Diannaa: Is there any way we can extricate it from the history? I'll try to replace it at some point, unless anyone else has the urge. Nzd (talk) 14:11, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thank you for your interest in copyright cleanup. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:17, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Diannaa: Bit over the top on the strikes? I really don't see how striking changes to squad list violates copyright... Govvy (talk) 14:34, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The content was not list material; it was prose copied from here. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:47, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
