This is a great beer, but a list of where it can be bought outside of Czech Republic is hard to find. Where can one buy this beer IN A REAL STORE (not online) in Washington State?

[edit]

I'd like to upload and include an image I have taken myself of a Staropramen bottle, with focus on the label. It's similar to this image. My question is: Although that image is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, the depicted design is under copyright by the company. Is it still ok to upload and use such photos? —AldeBaer 12:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Depends on the label but if the focus is on the label probably not.Geni 16:40, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Photo was deleted on June 18th as copyvio. There may be a fair use rationale in including product images though, but that is a case by case sort of thing.-Andrew c [talk] 21:14, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Socialism"

[edit]

I wish people who write Wikipedia articles wouldn't use "socialism" as a synonym for "communism", just as the communists did and most Americans still do. The two words don't mean the same thing, and the socialist movement should never have been hijacked by the undemocratic regimes that oppressed Eastern Europe for so long. OK, so this is a political comment that has no business here - but so, to my mind, is the constant misuse of the term "socialism"!188.230.248.85 (talk) 12:48, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Staropramen, Old spring

[edit]

Old spring is in the danish version translated to "Gammelt forår" (old springtime) which is nonsense. Gammel kilde (Old source) would be better Billslemming (talk) 08:54, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what this has to do with Danish, but if you used a dictionary you would see one of the meanings of "spring" is "kilde". Tammbecktalk 09:38, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That was what I tried to point out! because the danish version of wikipedia says "direkte oversat Gammelt forår".
I know spring can mean kilde (source) as well as forår (springtime) 62.198.132.164 (talk) 11:57, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. If you have an issue with Danish Wikipedia this is not the place to bring it up. Tammbecktalk 12:22, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
