– Per WP:NATURALDIS. The move discussion at Talk:Benjamin Harrison (bust) remains open, but there seems to be a general preference for the "Statue of XXX" format over the "subject (medium)" format. I should also note, there's an ongoing discussion here about the naming conventions for public statues. While some details are still being ironed out, I'm confident disambiguating by "Statue of X...", "Bust of X...", etc, will emerge as a preferred title over using a subject name then disambiguating by medium or location unless there's good reason. To the best of my knowledge, none of the nominated articles are about sculptures with multiple copies, so no need to worry about "Statue of X..." vs. "Statues of X...", which is still being discussed. --Another Believer (Talk) 01:02, 3 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 19:06, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

  • Oppose use of descriptive title when subject has a COMMONNAME, even if it needs (parenthetic) disambiguation. --В²C ☎ 00:57, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
    • Born2cycle, Do you mean official name over common name? One wouldn't say, "I saw Guy Lafleur today" in conversation. They'd say, "I saw the statue of Guy Lafleur today" (or sculpture, etc). ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:26, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Support. Word order in a title matters, a lot. The current title is not good. The current title implies the topic is about a type of “Guy Lafleur”, which it is not. The article is about a sculpture. The proposed is OK. Sculpture (Guy Lafleur) would technically work too, satisfying Wikipedia’s peculiar love for the parenthetical. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 04:30, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
    • The name of this article's topic is Guy Lafleur, and that could and should therefore be the title, except it's ambiguous, and so requires disambiguation. (sculpture) is the obvious disambiguation. This approach applies to 99% of our titles. Why not this one? --В²C ☎ 18:27, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

  • Guy Lafleur is not his statue. The topic is a statue. It is good if the first word of the title is "Statue". --SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:57, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
  • That's why the descriptor 'sculpture' is in the title, to make sure that people know that Guy Lafleur is not his statue (unless Medusa herself, a rabid Toronto fan, turned Lafleur into metal mid-game). But it is the real name of the statue, which should be important for an encyclopedia. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:15, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
