[edit]Buckets was Jackson's nickname during his time in San Antonio. And if someone claims that there needs to be a source for that, I swear to God I will delete every unsourced nickname on all of wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.132.37 (talk • contribs) 21:00, 4 June 2007
University of Arizona
[edit]This article states that "Jackson signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Arizona, but never enrolled there." Is there any source out there that says he was ruled academically ineligible? Bash Kash (talk) 21:25, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Trivia removed
[edit]I've removed the "Trivia" section from the article. Although we normally are supposed to integrate the information into the rest of the article, I really couldn't see that these facts were notable enough to even deserve mention. Here they were:
- Jackson’s next door neighbor in the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel was Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy. Jackson's former house was sold in June 2008.[citation needed]
- When growing up, Jackson used to wash dishes and bus tables in his grandfather’s soul food restaurant in Port Arthur, Texas.[1]
- Although his NBA peers call him “Jack,” in his hometown of Port Arthur, Texas he is known simply as “Stevie.[2]
If anyone disagrees with me, feel free to restore them. I just don't see how they had any merit or relevance in an encyclopedic article. Bash Kash (talk) 20:12, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Photos of Jack on various teams
[edit]I uploaded an admittedly low-res photo of Jack with the Pacers and integrated it into the article. If anyone possesses any photographs that are appropriate, please upload them. Anything would help -- seems likely there would be eligible photos from his Bobcats days and perhaps the recent Spurs return.
As of now (Sept. 2012), there are three photos total: two Warriors (including the main picture), one Pacers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajbry (talk • contribs) 22:37, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Just a *bit* pro-Jackson
[edit]And by a bit I mean a lot. Heh. Everyone loves Jack, myself included. However, you can't just bury the trades, the dysfunction, the Malice at the Palace with a single "for fighting with fans"...
...and then on the same token give him a bunch of great bball PR and soft character references that belie the other side of things. Pop likes him and could give great quotes on him for days, but Pop also waived Jack deliberately before a playoff run for (by some accounts) refusing to accept a smaller role - if that's true, then it's part of his basketball profile and/or his character.
I know it's just an encyclopedic entry, and again, sjax has all the respect in the world from me for his rawness, toughness, authenticity, and loyalty. But damn, we all know he's a two-sided coin, and it's unfair to give that side of him only (for the most part). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.86.133.141 (talk) 17:03, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
