Chinatown and Nob Hill categories?
[edit]Does this article belong in both the Chinatown and Nob Hill categories? Seems to be the tunnel is actually within the boundaries of Chinatown. Please ping with replies, thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:35, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Zzyzx11: I saw you just added a map. Do you happen to have an opinion here? ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:41, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- It should match whatever are the commonly understood or official boundaries of the two districts. I will say that on both Google maps and the map I posted, the tunnel is closer to the "Chinatown" label than the "Nob Hill" label. Zzyzx11 (talk) 04:03, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Zzyzx11 and Mliu92:, So all 3 neighborhood categories (Chinatown, Nob Hill Union Square) should be kept? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:27, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- IMO, Chinatown, and maybe Union Square, but not really Nob Hill. When I currently enter "Chinatown, San Francisco, CA" into Google maps, it highlights the area surrounding Bush, Powell, Broadway and Kerney. When I enter "Nob Hill, San Francisco, CA" it highlights the area around Bush, Van Ness, Broadway, and Powell. "Union Square, San Francisco, CA" only strictly highlights the actual Union Square around Geary, Powell, Post, and Stockton, not the surrounding district. But since the tunnel is only a couple of blocks north, you could make the argument that it connects Chinatown with Union Square. Zzyzx11 (talk) 22:07, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Stockton Street Tunnel
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Stockton Street Tunnel's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 17:29, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
Former name, perhaps unofficial: "Pratt Tunnel"
[edit]The Stockton Street tunnel was called the "Pratt Tunnel" during the 1960s and 1970s. Does anyone have details? 162.245.20.162 (talk) 22:40, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
