What makes Team BRIT notable[edit]

The USP of this team is inclusivity and diversity, where the drivers are predominantly physically disabled and the emphasis has shifted from just ex-military personnel, and the use of hand controls is more of a key element in its success. There have been, and still are, physically disabled individuals competing in racing events , Alex Zanardi is a notable example, though sometimes still using conventional controls, J R Spigot (talk) 08:59, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding the page[edit]

I looked at a selection of huge and tiny sportscar teams and they all follow roughly the same format:

- an overview of the history, so you can see the summary of where the team came from - we've got that, with the extra notability of the inclusivity/adaptive technology aspect

- History *by series* (which is where this page is not very well structured, at the time of writing Jan 2023) - so I think we need to add that.

- Results. Some Wiki entries have pages and pages of results but it's not mandatory. I made a start on getting the list of campaigns into one place, using the format of the table from "Rolex Sports Car Series" in the Action_Express#Rolex_Sports_Car_Series page as a rough guide. We can leave the per-round results out for now as it's a LOT of work and I think having a medium-effort list is better than having no list. But it is taking me FOREVER so I've moved it to my sandbox...

Pages for other teams all vary slightly in exact structure and section name... unbelievably in 2022 there doesn't seem to be a template, so let's see how far we can get improvising. Please feel free to start editing along these lines or reply here if anyone has a better idea for structure. Zaack23 (talk) 20:59, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The history of results is now in progress in a Workspace page here: Talk:Team_BRIT/Team_BRIT_RacesZaack23 (talk) 14:42, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aaron and Bobby continue in British GT with the MacLaren 570S in 2023
Chris and James run in British Endurance in the second MacLaren 570S in 2023, which is why I originally put '2x Maclaren 570S' in the article.
I like what you're doing with this, for the moment I don't have time to contribute more. J R Spigot (talk) 17:32, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will try and tidy up the part about two Maccas now. It was actually @BrokenGearbox who edited that out :-) but I can see why, because I accidentally made it look like you were talking about 2022 when I moved all the section titles around. Zaack23 (talk) 17:40, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
