[edit]From the information I gathered, Brady's first trial ended in a hung jury, however, others in the conspiracy were convicted. The first trial, in 1882, the jury may have been tampered with or bribed. The New York Times noted irregularities in the jury vote. Brady escaped conviction by two jurist votes, while eight other jurists voted guilty. During the second trial, in 1883, TJB took the witness stand. He denied all charges and was aquitted in 1883.
