Merge with salt marsh[edit]

I can see no difference between this and a salt marsh; if there is a significant difference it should be made clear in both articles. Saga City 18:49, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't agree. Salt marshes don't have to be of tidal origin. --Jeroen (talk) 20:39, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
At first glance, it appears a tidal marsh is a type of salt marsh, so they should be merged. The only possible counter argument I anticipate is that tidal marshes may be freshwater, whereas salt marshes are either saline or brackish. --Beefyt (talk) 17:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Future Improvements[edit]

Hello! I plan to make improvements to this article, including: minor edits to a few sentences, and minor edits to the format for clarity. I also plan to add a few missing references to the existing text, as well as add a section related to tidal marsh ecosystem services. Thanks! Andmich (talk) 03:13, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all! Here are my plans for editing this article:
- There are a few citations, however, it is all one citation per sentence. I plan to do some more research to find more sources to help back up current claims.
- One user on the talk page mentioned that the divide between salt and tidal marsh was not clear, so I intend to clearly differentiate the two
- I also plan to add some more pictures (possibly in a gallery)
