Colors[edit]

I'm reverting the colors on the template, to match other players. The convention that has developed is dark green with gold lettering for players who played after 1959 and navy with gold lettering for pre-Lombardi players, to match the colors they actually wore on the field. --Chancemichaels 15:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Chancemichaels[reply]

WP:GA Collaboration[edit]

To do[edit]

  • Any more details about early life?
  • Any more details about college exploits?
  • Any more details on WWII involvement? Did he see combat? What was his job/role in the military?
  • Stats table?
  • Recommend a new section (maybe Post-career, Later life, or something similar) that covers his later work with the Packers (broadcast, exec committee, relationship with Lombardi, etc). The last section could be renamed to just Legacy.
  • Archive any other refs if needed.
  • Full copyedit of prose after all additions and changes.

Discussion[edit]

Lizard the Wizard, here are a few items on my mind that could be helpful to bring the article to WP:GA. I may work on a few of these in the next week or so. Let me know what you think, and please feel free to add anything else you think is needed. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:07, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If we do add to the WWII section I suggest moving it out from under his playing career and into a new section. I left it there because it served as a good segue and still mainly discussed it in the context of his football career. Also, I worked on this article before I had newspapers.com access so I'm sure there's a ton of stuff I missed. Lizard (talk) 16:52, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Lizard the Wizard, sounds good. I just added the stats table. I chose to include only his offensive stats. What do you think about leaving out defense and special teams? « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 18:38, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm usually not a fan of stats tables on pre-modern players since stats usually don't tell the whole story with them. It especially doesn't for Canadeo, whose stats would be pretty mediocre when compared to today's players. I'd remove the table. Lizard (talk) 17:38, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
