For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. The material may also be rewritten, providing it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore, such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:10, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I will also note, just as a matter of record for anyone who may read this, that this originates from this report at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2018 August 23 (permanent link). Thanks for taking action on this matter. —Nøkkenbuer (talkcontribs) 15:18, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Nøkkenbuer. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to provide a link of that kind as a matter of routine – it could be helpful to someone who looks at this years from now and wants to know what was done. I'm going to look into that. But mainly, thanks for the initial report!
For another time, if there is one: we usually blank out suspected copyvio content using this: {{subst:copyvio|url= source(s) }}, with a </div> to end the blanking if necessary. The resulting template gives some useful instructions on the next steps to be taken. Thanks again, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:29, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
