Perhaps it should be mentioned that similar stoves were extremely popular, and came in various sizes, at least until the 1980s. Those I remember, usually came with a wider base that would contain more fuel. Apparently, Trangia is not the original manufacturer, but simply the last and only manufacturer left. Perhaps someone could come up with a photo of an older one?
