Self-Discrepancy[edit]

Which is correct? The article says he was born in Colombia, while the sidebox says he was born in Poplar Bluff. Brian Ryans 16:13, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Incident[edit]

In hindsight, the 'notable incident' with Geral Henderson, Jr. seems rather trite. It's a slippery slope to start logging fouls, flagrant or otherwise, unless observable patterns or serious injury occurs. I can think of several 'notable incidents' with a number of players but they aren't detailed in their bios. Pepto gecko 18:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tyler's Brother Ben[edit]

I just read that Tyler's little brother Ben played for Miss St. but transferred to Notre Dame before the 2008-2009 season[1] I didn't see anything in this article about that, and didn't see a section that would apply to, and didn't want to create a section just for that little tid-bit.72.205.45.100 (talk) 18:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didnt know that his real name was Andrew. Why do they call him Tyler then?

Full Name Incorrect[edit]

His name is Andrew Tyler Hansbrough, not Tyler Andrew Hansbrough. I couldn't figure out how to correct this on the semi-protected page. Tarheel482 (talk) 02:32, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're right about his name. I've made the correction. Rreagan007 (talk) 14:57, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

After his death[edit]

It looks like he died after getting drafted by the Pacers. A lot of interesting things happened during his rookie season - but you wouldn't know it from this pathetic article. I dropped by to see any there ever was any official explanation for his continued vertigo problems - problems which started halfway through his rookie season and continue to this day. You know, the sort of thing that could end a career. See Nick Esasky if you don't believe me. Of course he had a bad rookie season, right? Err.. he averaged 10.8 points a game in November once he started getting regular playing time. This included games where he scored 13, 19, 21, 14, & 19. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds a game in November too. All that in 22 minutes a game. So, yeah. Two sentences on one line pretty much seems about right.

Why don't I add the information? Well, I have a pet peeve about doing a bunch of work on something like this only to have some wiki-asshole delete it because I did not dot an "i" or cross a "t". You know, like delete a couple hours of work because I did not include sources - all of which were EASILY verified. And before you knee-jerk regurgitate WP:SOURCE; read this part: "It has always been good practice to make reasonable efforts to find sources oneself that support such material, and cite them." Long-time revert-nazi's seem to be unable to retain that tidbit; which is probably because if heeded it would ruin some of the enjoyment they get over having their thumb on someone.

Thanks for the soapbox. For as much time you spent ranting, you could have added a paragraph on his rookie season w/actual references. Jrcla2 (talk) 20:31, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Needs more sources[edit]

The article needs more sources. I have added some and have tagged some areas that either lack sources or have problematic sources. SunCrow (talk) 11:13, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Needs expansion[edit]

The section on his NBA career needs expansion. SunCrow (talk) 03:43, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
