California Love[edit]

Those phone calls remind me "California Love" 1995-96 music video begin. Same tone, same idea. Could it be the origin of the advert inspiration? Lacrymocéphale 12:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't see a whole lot of connection there. You would need something from a reliable source in order to include it, other wise, it's original research. Henrymrx (t·c) 12:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is only the "yeah, whassup?" or "'ssup man?" which indicate that "whassup" was in popular culture before the advertisement. I won't inquire to know if authors of the advertisement have seen the music video and get inspired from it, I don't got there phone numbers ;) Lacrymocéphale 13:13, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

International version[edit]

<< There was also an international parody which featured Yorkshire men screaming the phrase "Ey up!", Scotsmen saying; "How's about ye'!", and Japanese men screaming; "Konnichiwa!" >>

Never seen this one. I only know the one with

  1. French guys saying "Comment ça va ?!"
  2. Japanese guys saying "Konnichi wa!"
  3. Russian guys saying a sentence I can't understand or find out, sounding like "buzabulgee"

(heard it by yourself)
