Lebanon University?
[edit]I can't find confirmation elsewhere that this institution ever existed in Tennessee. However there is Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. Also appears that there was once a Lebanon University in Lebanon, Ohio. – wbm1058 (talk) 23:18, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- His official biography in the Congressional Biography Directory maintained by the U.S. House of Representatives lists him as a graduate of Lebanon University in Tennessee. Should this be considered a WP:RS? Go4thProsper (talk) 03:04, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- Interestingly, a review of the prominent alumni of Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee shows a surprisingly long list of members of Congress. Cox is not one of them, but several 19th Century-era graduates on the list are referred to in the Congressional Bio Directory as being graduates of Lebanon University. Some of their corresponding Wikipedia pages list Lebanon U. under their educations. So it looks like @wbm1058 is correct that Lebanon U. is actually Cumberland U. I am going to leave it to other editors to make sense of all of this and determine how best to address it. But I will add Cox to Cumberland’s alumni list.
