Lead[edit]

  • The percentage symbol should be spelt out per MOS:PERCENT
  • Done.
  • "which organises the professional Snooker" - the word in bold does not need to begin with a capital letter
  • Done.
  • "and English billiards through World Billiards" - a full stop is missing to end this sentence
  • Done.

Overview[edit]

  • "The governing body for the non-professional games" - aspect of snooker
  • amended to "aspect of snooker and billiards" (could delete the "and billiards" though)
  • "Barry Hearn's Matchroom Sport owns 51% of World Snooker, and the WPBSA is the next largest shareholder with 26%." - the two sources attached to this do not mention shareholders. ANother source is needed for this particular claim
  • Reworded more in line with the archive for source 4.
  • Also, another violation of MOS:PERCENT in the sentence above

  • "In January 2020, World Snooker rebranded as World Snooker Tour." - World Snooker was rebranded
    Amended.
  • When was Archer president of the WPBSA?

  • Done.

  • "a major growth area for the sport[25] and in other territories including Germany." - a comma is between inbetween "sport" and the citation
  • Done.
  • "Amnesty International criticised the announcement, due to concerns about the human rights in the country." - the word in bold isn't needed
  • Done.

  • Done.

Criticism and controversy[edit]

  • "The body has received criticism in the late 2000s." - the word in bold is not needed
  • Amended.
  • "John Higgins has been particularly vocal in his opinion that World Snooker has not done enough to promote the game in new territories," - the words in bold need to be replaced by their past tense equalivents
  • Amended.
