This article is a mess... someone needs to take care of it. I'd do it, but I haven't even played the game =P. Hattes 19:19, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I dropped an "essay" template on it... not sure if it's the appropriate one, so I urge someone who knows better to change it. Hattes 19:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No you didn't...? I put on a {review} template though. —BlackTerror 16:47, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio

[edit]

I have reverted the article to this revision from January 15, 2007. The series of edits made by User:Kacex on February 1st which have made up the bulk of the article since then are, in addition to being more suitable for a game review than an encyclopedia article, entirely ripped from the Ys I page at The Legacy of Ys, and are a copyright violation. Fair use rationale for Image:Ys - The Vanished Omens (UE) -!--01.png

[edit]

Image:Ys - The Vanished Omens (UE) -!--01.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Plot differences

[edit]

There are some differences in plot and name for different consoles - for example, the Sega Master System has the protagonist as "Aron Christian", who was washed ashore by a hurricane, but versions called "Ancient Land of Ys" have Arick (a local) as the protagonist. Should all the plots be given? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.30.68.232 (talk) 22:40, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
