Bias?

Changed "Land of Israel" to "Palestine". The original term was biased, and the change reflects a more neutral and historically correct position. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcadams99 (talkcontribs)

Historically, isn't it only correct to refer to "Palestine" starting with the British Mandate during WWI? At the time ZOA was founded, though, the territory was a province of the Ottoman Empire. It might be more correct to say "in the Ottoman territory that had been controlled by the Hebrews in biblical times." Danbub 14:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

No, not at all. The term "Palestine" goes back to the Greeks at least, and was the normal term for the land in English both before and during the Ottoman times. <eleland/talkedits> 23:55, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Without entering into the period nomenclature for Ottoman Palestine, this page has no citation stating that at the time of the organization's founding it exclusively targeted that location for a sovereign Jewish homeland (the theoretical/ideological essence of Zionism). For now, I've edited in that light. -- Deborahjay (talk) 20:59, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Removed: "It is a racist organization." from the first footnote which cites: http://www.forward.com/articles/1227 No where is this mentioned in the article. I believe this was a malicious addition to this particular article. Jaytee1818 (talk) 03:16, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Recent history and See also

Beyond_My_Ken has reverted some of my minor edits without explanation. I don't feel strongly about these, but I wonder if people really think all of the detail in the "Recent history" are really notable enough to include here. Is the second sentence of the Temple Mount paragraph really notable enough in the 120 year history of this organisation to call for this level of detail? (And what's the objection to linking to the WP article for Temple Mount, if it is notable enough to have this much detail?) Is the fact that the ZOA was criticized for failing to comment on the killing of a Palestinian teenager in 2016 really notable enough to be in this article? Also, why is Nefesh B'Nefesh in the See also section - how is it related? BobFromBrockley (talk) 13:50, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

Beyond_My_Ken, are you going to give any case for the notability of these incidents? BobFromBrockley (talk) 12:38, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
