  • Comment: better hooks welcome!

  • Will he be grilled on the witness stand? (In joke for DYK regulars) EEng (talk) 05:52, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Agree with EEng a little. Don't you think that it would be a better idea to avoid such sort of WP:CRYSTAL? It can be done if Edwardx would suggest some better hook. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 05:21, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
honestly I was just making the joke. However, assuming reliable sources report that, if corporate Nature takes its course, whatshisname will be chairman of whsteveritscalled, we should probably phrase it as "slated to become" or something like that. EEng (talk) 06:08, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that's better. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 06:47, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, adequately referenced, neutrally written. But there is some close paraphrasing:
  • Source: Mr. Behring is a co-founder and the Managing Partner of 3G Capital, a global investment firm with offices in New York and Rio de Janeiro, since 2004.
  • Article: Since 2004, Behring has been a co-founder and the managing partner of 3G Capital, a global investment firm with offices in New York City and Rio de Janeiro.
  • Source: Mr. Behring was a co-founder and partner in Modus OSI Technologies, a technology firm with offices in Florida and Sao Paulo, from 1989 to 1993.
  • Article: From 1989 to 1993, Behring was a co-founder and partner in Modus OSI Technologies, a technology company with offices in Florida, US, and São Paulo, Brazil.
  • Generally, the page reads like a resume. Can you add any interesting aspects to his career, such as any accomplishments or awards? Something like that would make a good alt hook. QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 21:25, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Think I've addressed the paraphrasing. And I've added some interesting stuff about Burger King and tax, but can't come up with a snappy hook. Any ideas? Edwardx (talk) 00:01, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
  • He had to get some kind of undergraduate degree before entering Harvard Business School. There's now more material in the article to make a better hook. How about:
  • ALT2: ... that Baker Scholar Alex Behring has applied his management skills to burgers, coffee shops, and restaurants? We don't know if he was grilled on the witness stand. Yoninah (talk) 12:10, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
I like ALT1 better. Burgers, coffee shops, and restaurants aren't that diverse, but it's somewhat unexpected that a BS EE degree would lead to catsup and so on. EEng (talk) 23:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
  • OK. Restoring Occult's tick on ALT1. Yoninah (talk) 00:07, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
  • FWIW, I'm happy with ALT1 ! Edwardx (talk) 00:29, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
