Ashurbanipal (sculpture)
[edit]- ... that critics complained that the bronze statue (pictured) of the ancient Assyrian king Ashurbanipal standing in San Francisco's Civic Center was a better portrayal of the Sumerian king Gilgamesh?
- ALT1... that the bronze statue (pictured) outside San Francisco's Main Library and the Asian Art Museum depicts the ancient Assyrian king credited for constructing the first and largest library in Nineveh?
- Comment: Not a self-nom. --PFHLai (talk) 18:33, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

- Article is very well written; length, date, and compliance with policy all check out. I would, however suggest a slightly different version of the hook for clarity and directness:
- ALT2: ... that critics complained that a bronze statue (pictured) of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal standing in San Francisco's Civic Center more closely resembled the Sumerian king Gilgamesh?
- Let me know if that is OK by you. --ThaddeusB (talk) 04:05, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
