  • Hook wording tweaked somewhat, Asia unlinked per WP:OVERLINK. Edwardx (talk) 13:10, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm concerned about the sourcing of the hook fact. It is cited to two sources ([1] [2]); the first is in Spanish, which I don't speak but Google Translate gives the relevant sentence as "is considered the first qualified as an architect Asian woman". The "considered" suggests it is not a definite fact, and also the website is published on Wordpress which makes me doubt its reliability. The second source doesn't seem to mention the hook fact at all. Do you have any other reliable sources that confirm that she was the first? 97198 (talk) 12:51, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

  • Created on Oct 15, nom on Oct 18/new enough. 2267 chars/long enough. No apparent copyvios. Neutral. All paragraphs have in-line cites. (As to the reliance on a blog, according to their "about us", the blog was specifically created to address the systemic bias on documenting women in architecture. They are a group of writers and researchers who took 365 women from different countries and 5 continents, who had made significant contributions to architecture and whose work was obscured by the men they worked with or by the people who wrote books on architects. The writers were an international group, as were the subjects. They held editathons, seminars and gathered information from the US International Archive of Women in Architecture. So, while a blog, it appears to have scholarly work involved. A random spot check of the contributors indicates many are instructors of architecture. Thus, it is not necessarily a non-reliable source.) Hook is 97 char/under maximum. It is interesting. Blog translates as "considered". Book source is unambiguous. Book is off line, but if you put the words as translated from the blog: "Eulie Chowdhury is considered the first qualified as an architect Asian woman" into the Google book search Snippet view states "Urmila Eulie Chowdhury. Architect of Chandigarh, India. First woman to qualify as an architect in Asia and to be Chief Architect of an Indian state (Punjab)." I'd very much like this to move along and propose a couple of ALTs. I have added 2 citations in English for each of the hooks below:
