General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: Article created within ten days of nomination. Meets size and policy requirements, is neutral, and is appropriately cited throughout. The hook is concise and interesting enough. I'm slightly concerned about the citing of the hook regarding WP:RS. The first reference by Jenny Ashcroft, appears to be a blog. Is she considered a reliable source in these circles? This is not my area of expertise. I am also not familiar with OrangeBean although I rummaged around on their website for some time. I'm inclined to give that one the benefit of the doubt given its apparent history of seemingly quality articles, although I am not familiar with them as publishers or authors. However, there will be quite a bit of visibility on the article on show day. Thoughts? Airborne84 (talk) 02:17, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

@Airborne84: Thanks for the review! I added a better source for the article and hook. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:03, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Thanks, that looks fine. Last question: it seems as if the hook should read "that the Hoosier Slide". Any issues with adding "the"? Airborne84 (talk) 13:02, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Not at all @Airborne84:! I added the "the" to the hook. BuySomeApples (talk) 22:19, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. I believe this is now DYK ready and recommend the hook as-is for the approvers. Airborne84 (talk) 00:51, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
BuySomeApples I'm concerned about the OrangeBean source. The home page and the about page makes it appear to be a blog that is operated by two people. SL93 (talk) 07:40, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
  • @SL93: I wasn't really fond of that source either, but I finally found some good books to replace it with. BuySomeApples (talk) 20:44, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
  • Restore approval. SL93 (talk) 00:58, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
