  • ALT1 ... that Ian Aird performed chest surgery on a wounded German officer after the British surgeon had been captured by a German Panzer column during the North African Campaign?
  • Although nominated as an expansion, this article seems to have been moved out of a sandbox on 20 July. It is new enough and also plenty long enough. The hook facts are cited in a paragraph about the event, the article is neutral, and I detected no copyright issues. The original hook was too long but I am approving ALT1.
