Inch, Edinburgh[edit]

5x expanded by Iainmacintyre (talk). Nominated by Iainmacintyre (talk) at 18:45, 28 April 2019 (UTC).

  • (Not reviewing) Added Alt2 if a quirky one is required. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:00, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
  • No copyvio issues, expanded 5X, QPQ done, reads well, long enough, hooks in article and cited. ALT2 is hookiest. Should it say the Inch instead of an Inch? Whispyhistory (talk) 05:59, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Grammatically yes, but if it did it would ruin the hookyness. Philafrenzy (talk) 08:21, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Could also be "an Inch is two miles from Edinburgh" just as easily. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:03, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Many thanks for these helpful suggestions. I think it is a matter of finding the right form of words that keeps it both quirky and accurate. As the area is known locally as 'The Inch'. I've added an ALT3 above. Papamac (talk) 10:07, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
great teamwork...approving ALT3. Whispyhistory (talk) 10:29, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
