Lady Ganga

Lady Ganga on the Ganga River
Lady Ganga on the Ganga River
  • ... that after Lady Ganga (pictured) learned she had stage four cervical cancer, she traveled to India and set a women's world record by stand up paddling 700 miles (1,100 km) on the Ganges River?

  • Reviewing...New enough, long enough, copyvio around 36% [1], image free (should it be cropped a little?). Will complete soon. Whispyhistory (talk) 16:37, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
  • cropped image as suggested.Alhill42 (talk) 19:30, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Hook in article and followed by references with hook facts...checked it is "women's world record by stand up paddling" and "stage 4 cervical cancer" and "700miles". Image is okay, unless one of the other closer up images appeal. It is good to see this article and I think many people will be interested. Some prose could do with making it more readable (I'm not best at this either), and citations could appear in chronological order. It fulfils dyk criteria. Copyvio within limit but could reword a bit more. QPQ not required, first dyk nomination. Please check you are okay with some small edits I made. @Alhill42:. If you (or passers by) can think of a shorter clearer hook, I will happily review again. Thank you. Whispyhistory (talk) 11:48, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
  • Thank you for your input. I have removed the quote from the copyvio and attempted a reword. I will look again in a bit to modify more. I like the picture of her on the water. Such an important part of her story, but would be happy to change to a close up if you think it would be better.Alhill42 (talk) 18:51, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
