@Catrìona:The cited source [4] for ALT0, ALT1 & ALT5 mentions Germany's refusal to prosecute war crimials and Italy's trials in absentia, but omits specifially no extraditions. I did however find specific mention of no extraditions in this source [5] I recommend both be cited in the article, then those three hooks can be quickyl approved. I'm still looking at ALT2, ALT3 & ALT 4. Flibirigit (talk) 16:42, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

ALT2 is good as per the cited source. For ALT3, the cited source mentions no political advantage to the ruling party in Italy, but I cannot find mention of fears of its own people being prosecuted. ALT4 is good as per the previous citations. Flibirigit (talk) 16:52, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
@Flibirigit: As one leading diplomat in Rome warned: "On the day that the first German criminal is extradited, there will be a wave of protests in countries that are demanding the extradition of Italian criminals." After all, Italy had sided with Nazi Germany until 1943 and occupied parts of the Balkans, where hundreds of thousands of people fell victim to the Italians' reign of violence. Thanks for adding the extra source from Haaretz for ALT0, ALT1 & ALT5. I still think ALT3 needs work, becuase the cited source says a diplomat warns of something, rather than the government taking no action because of the warning. If the hook said someting closer to "not politically advantageous" it would be easy to approve. I will approve all of the other hooks. Flibirigit (talk) 17:07, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
