Madonna: Tears of a Clown[edit]

Created by IndianBio (talk). Self-nominated at 12:38, 13 March 2016 (UTC).

  • Not a review but to just let you know that you'll need to provide a QPQ despite this being your first nomination as nine of your articles have been nominated by others at DYK. Cowlibob (talk) 17:25, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Thank you Cowlibob since I was not sure about the QPQ. Can you direct me to any list where it shows how many articles are nominated by my name? —IB [ Poke ] 18:52, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
Type your name into the QPQ check tool in the toolbox. Here's the one for you: [[1]]. Cowlibob (talk) 18:55, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
  • I can't see anything "interesting" about this hook - anyone can ride a tricycle. Edwardx (talk) 00:09, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
    • Edwardx I have given another two hooks below, please see their hookness. —IB [ Poke ] 10:11, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
    • ALT1: ... that singer Madonna performed a one-off show Tears of a Clown for her Australian fans only?
    • ALT2: ... that singer Madonna dressed up as a clown during her Tears of a Clown one-off show?
  • Neither ALT is more interesting. And I doubt ALT1 is strictly accurate. Why not something about the show starting four hours late? Edwardx (talk) 13:02, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
    • Then you go ahead and suggest the hook, because I can't see starting a show 4 hours late is any relevant. Major artists all start shows late. And I absolutely disagree regarding ALT2, not many superstars of Madonna's stature would do stuff like dressing like a clown so it is indeed an interesting hook. —IB [ Poke ] 13:12, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
  • The hook criterion is "interesting". If the show was called "Tears of a Clown", then dressing up as a clown is to be expected. How about:
  • ALT3: ... that singer Madonna dressed up as a clown for her one-off acoustic show in Australia?
    • That suggestion works for me as well. Thanks and I appreciate it. :) —IB [ Poke ] 15:34, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
      • Hi Edwardx I was wondering is there anything pending in this nomination? —IB [ Poke ] 17:37, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Full review needed now that hook is set. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:20, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
    • BlueMoonset who is going to do the full review? Is it Edwardx? —IB [ Poke ] 15:27, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
      • IndianBio, we don't know. The red icon is designed to let potential reviewers know that this nomination needs reviewing; it could be hours, days, or even weeks. If you have further questions, ask on my talk page, so people don't think a review has started. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:38, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
        • IndianBio, I did the hook, so I can't review it. Plus, I've little interest in the subject. Edwardx (talk) 17:05, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT3 is interesting and cited inline. Article was created on 11 March and nominated on time; it appears neutral and the only copyvio hits on Earwig's detector are direct quotes. The only problem is an unsourced paragraph under "Synopsis" (per DYK rules, every paragraph should have a minimum of one reference). 97198 (talk) 05:06, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
    • Hi @97198: I have now copy-edited and added sources to the second para also. —IB [ Poke ] 09:52, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Thanks, it looks good now. 97198 (talk) 10:39, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
