Of the styles mentioned, "death metal" is not directly cited, but is confirmed in some of the sources for the article. The hook draws from multiple portions of the article, so it's difficult to directly cite every part of the hook.

- Long enough – the prose portion is at least 1,500 characters
- Within policy – I've made a tiny edit to ensure the article remains neutral (one critics review doesn't reflect general opinion). There are at least 1 inline citations per paragraph. I cannot find any evidence of copyright violations.
- Hook - I think we need an alternative hook as the sources (especially for Gospel Music) are not explicit that he performed in those styles.
- QPQ – Done.
A nice article, I like the hook but I don't think the sources cite it accurately enough to use it on the front page. I would offer an alternative but I'm rubbish at hooks! Good job overall, 3family6 - ツStacey (talk) 15:12, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- I've done some more work on the article. I'll let you judge if you think the original hook is supported now by the references. However, I didn't particularly like this hook anyway. I personally find it somewhat amusing that Børud performs and records in a death metal band while also being a solo funk and soul artist, but I don't know if other readers will understand or appreciate that aspect. I've nominated some hooks in the past that highlighted the style by an artist or on an album, and those didn't generate many hits. So I've provided some alternative hooks below.
