Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India

[edit]
  • ... that the civil service post of Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India is sometimes considered to be more powerful and influential than even the governmental ministers...? Source: Unnithan, Sandeep (April 19, 2018). "Official Top 10: Hidden power". India Today. Aroon Purie. ISSN 0254-8399. • Reviewed: Third nomination; no need review.
  • Comment: Can the reviewer give me a bit of time after passing this nomination? As these type of articles in the region (South Asia) don't have a lot of coverage on Wikipedia and have a lot of redlinks, if one can be so kind as to give me a bit of time to cover these redlinks, I would be extremely obliged.

  • I originally had this nomination named {{Did you know nominations/Principal Secretary to the Prime Minnister of India}} instead of {{Did you know nominations/Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India}}; sorry for that!

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.

Overall: User has less than five DYK credits, QPQ is not required. Article is long enough at over 2000 characters, not including the list. No copyright issues detected with the Earwig tool. Flibirigit (talk) 18:12, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Is there a citation available for this sentence: "The Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India acts as the administrative chief of the Prime Minister's Office and as a result, a significant amount of power over the daily-affairs of the Government of India is wielded by it." ? Flibirigit (talk) 18:12, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

@Flibirigit:  Done: I have added more citations to the article and provided for the sentence, "The Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India acts as the administrative chief of the Prime Minister's Office and as a result, a significant amount of power over the daily-affairs of the Government of India is wielded by it.". 19:50, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the changes. This nomination looks good to go to me. ALT0 is the preferred hook. Flibirigit (talk) 21:06, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, and first did some copyediting. (The article is really overusing em-dashes; I only removed two, but more could be removed.) The main issue is a lack of citations in the box. Could you source the fact that each of these served as Principal Secretary? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 01:24, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: @SshibumXZ: I added the appropriate citation for the list as a whole. Please feel free to format differently if you chose. Flibirigit (talk) 03:20, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
