  • Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. QPQ is done, image is PD, and no copyvio detected. Hook is interesting and neutral, but the supplied source says the revenue of the slave sale was for the "province formation program", whereas the article and the hook say it's for financing its debt. Could you please explain the discrepancy? -Zanhe (talk) 07:51, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
    • @Zanhe: I do believe the two are referring to the same thing; what the sale paid for is variously described by the sources in the article, but they are all referring principally to paying off the university's debt. With respect to this particular reference, the province of the Jesuits owned the college, and the educational component was one of the province's formation programs, so the "province formation program" almost certainly referred to the university. Just a strange way of phrasing it. Ergo Sum 00:52, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
  • Ergo Sum's explanation seems satisfactory, and I think this nomination meets all the required DYK criteria so I am approving it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:09, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
