William Rundell

"Sydney view" stamp of New South Wales (1850)
"Sydney view" stamp of New South Wales (1850)
  • ... that British migrant to Australia and stamp collector William Rundell owned 48 of the first stamps of New South Wales, known as the "Sydney view"s (pictured)?

5x expanded by Philafrenzy (talk) and Whispyhistory (talk). Nominated by Philafrenzy (talk) at 21:29, 2 September 2021 (UTC).

  • Not sure the hook fact is all there—article does not mention that the Sydney View (capitalised differently in the hook versus the article, which is right?) is one of the first New South Wales stamps, but the owning 48 of them part is there. There's also a few details cited to a dead link; can this be recovered through archive.org or replaced perhaps? Expansion is fine and the quality is otherwise grand, and the image is suitable for use. 𝄠ʀᴀᴘᴘʟᴇ 01:19, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, I knew it needed a bit of tidying. I will ping you when done. Philafrenzy (talk) 19:41, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
It's done. Not sure about the hook. How about:
    • ALT1:... that Victorian post office official William Rundell also collected stamps in his spare time, acquiring 48 copies of the "Sydney view" stamps (pictured) of New South Wales? Philafrenzy (talk) 20:32, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
Changes look good to me, and the new hook is a fine replacement. Good to go. 𝄠ʀᴀᴘᴘʟᴇ X 21:03, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
