Aston Villa Away
I have updated most of the AVFC kit now so can someone please add the thin blue pinstripe. I tried using the two pinstripe and it didn't look right so can we have a new template? Picture can be found at http://www.avfc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/15/b7/0,,10265~3323669,00.jpg .Thanks. Adam
Have you tried _4thinstripesonwhite (above) ? I just used _lineonwhite for the single pinstripe on the sleeves, but I think they could do with another.

Invisible shirts
There are a few shirt designs that have been added recently that I can't see. They are:
- _adidas_geist_green
- _adidas_geist_gold
- _adidas_piping_gold
- _adidas_snake_black
- _adidas_snake_blue
- _adidas_snake_red_white_shoulder_stripes
I can see them at their upload.wikipedia pages but not in any articles (although for some weird reason the adidas snake black will display when I compare the current Newcastle United page with the one that's fifty revisions old). I have this problem in Firefox, IE6 and IE7. Does anyone know what could be causing this, or is anyone else having this problem (I can't be the only one, surely!). Any help will be appreciated, cheers. Dbam Talk/Contributions 17:13, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Uploaded Liverpool FC patterns but don't know how to edit the club's page...?
I've uploaded the correct patterns for the Liverpool kits (body_adidas_white_piping for the home kit and body_adidas_geist_red for the away)
can someone edit the club's actual page to make the kits appear?

Green Half
I don't have the tools to do this myself, otherwise I would imagine it to be a nice easy job, but from looking at the above a "green half" template appears to be missing. I would like to use it to update the Horsham F.C. page as they are playing in green and amber halved shirts this season. - fchd 11:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Which half is which colour.....? ChrisTheDude 11:20, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- When looking at a player "head-on", the green is to the left, for instance see the program cover at This match which I attended on Tuesday. (As can be seen from the action pictures, Rustington turned out in pale pink which they are wearing this season to raise money for Cancer Research). Having the green half on the left would also tally with their club badge. - fchd 11:26, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- I don't understand all that stuff to do with transparent colours, so I just created this:
- File name is Image:Kit_body_horsham.png. Hope it helps!!!! ChrisTheDude 11:35, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Arms
I am having a bit trouble putting these in to the arms section, and , so that i can put them on Easington Colliery A.F.C. Sunderland06 01:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Anyone seen one of these?
I'm looking for the reverse of this - that is, a red collar on a white shirt. Ideally, but not essential to also have thin green sides. The arms are similar to these but stripes need to be on green rather than blue. JoeWiki (talk) 16:47, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

USA Home and Away Kit
Can someone who is significantly better with these functions help with the USA home and away kit? The home shirt just needs sleeves and the away kit needs to have the front of the collar dark, while the very edges remain red and with thinner red stripes on the end of the sleeves. Thank you to whoever helps out. Pictures of both shirts are easily available here. -- Grant.Alpaugh 12:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Time for shorts and socks?
Isn't it time for Football kit to get parameters for shorts and socks like Rugby kit. Other templates like Basketball kit, Netball kit, Baseball uniform, Field hockey kit at least have shorts. Many teams have two colored socks etc... isnt it at least time to add the parameter? ← chandler 16:20, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree wholeheartedly, many clubs have multiple colours on socks/shorts. GiantSnowman 18:25, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Updating to SVG?
I've noticed that many of the basic football images have SVG counterparts, to make the images athletically pleasing (more smoothing), could an administrator update the template to use SVGs instead? Atyndall93 | talk 08:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think the images with the stripes are converted to SVG yet. — Kagee 22:18, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think all the basic ones are SVGs, so is it possible to change those. Or would that look too inconsistent. Atyndall93 | talk 23:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- It would probably look somewhat better. The last ones will probably appear as SVG sometime. — Kagee 02:14, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- To any admin: please read above conversation and if you agree, replace the pngs with SVGs. Thankyou and happy editing! :-) Atyndall93 | talk 10:30, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- I would really like the ability to have both svg and png, if possible, you should be able to use both png and svg in the same kit so to speak. ← chandler 10:44, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah...that's going to take a whole lot of work to convert all of those images. I changed the template code for you so you can now use "|filetype = svg" to use all .svg files. After you find a way to convert the images, you can discuss setting svg as the default and use "|filetype = png" to specifically use png instead. You might consider asking on Wikipedia:Bot requests to see if anyone can automatically convert all of these images for you, because that would be a quite long and painful process to convert them all by hand. --CapitalR (talk) 17:54, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
The problem with SVG is that the arms have one 50% transparent black pixel that sticks up ← chandler 22:25, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- That seems to be a problem with the images themselves that could probably be easily remedied, plus, I can't see it easily on my 1024x768 monitor. Atyndall93 | talk 23:23, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Done I went a head and fixed it myself ← chandler 00:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- The German/Italian Wikipedia have for some time been using HTML-code, which places blank SVG images on top of the existing PNG images, making the kits look much more smooth. The german version of the code seems to have fixed the most visually known errors cased by MSIE/WIE's somewhat "different" interpretation of the exiting wiki-code - such as including horizontal lines and not displaying certain corners/areas (1-2 pixels) of the football kit. Danish Wikipedia have had the same problem (because we used a copy of the english version of the template) until I recently replaced the entire code with the german version without any problems (just remember to adjust things like local things like "Bild" to "Image"). You should consider making the same switch.
- Also could some administrator please add the following interwiki-links:
da:Skabelon:Spilledragt de:Vorlage:Football kit es:Plantilla:Camisetas it:Template:Football kit pt:Predefinição:CamisaFutebol
at the bottom of the template within the "noinclude" section? --Froztbyte (talk) 04:32, 17 June 2008 (UTC)- About adding svgs over them... wouldnt that create problems with custom collars? — chandler — 05:06, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- You could just add an extra condition to take care of those cases, where a specific body pattern was choosen. --Froztbyte (talk) 06:09, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- About adding svgs over them... wouldnt that create problems with custom collars? — chandler — 05:06, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Also could some administrator please add the following interwiki-links:
SVGs render as 24-bit PNGs which won't work properly in IE6 (unfortunately still used by a very large percentage of readers - the web company I work for still sees 20% of users on it), so they should probably be avoided. ed g2s • talk 13:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Seattle Sounders FC jersey
Anyone want to take a shot at creating a the new jersey for Seattle Sounders FC. I can get a reasonable approximation with the following, but the blue side panel doesn't go all the way down the sides of the jersey, the blue striping continues down the sleeve as well, and the white striping doesn't go down all the way to the end of the sleeve either. See this link for a rather large mockup of the jersey.
