I added the category just now, so I can look for pages that actually use this template. Hopefully this isn't being used, and I can nominate it for deletion. Mangojuice 16:20, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

This one needs semi-protection as well, it is being used many times.--The Joke النكتة‎ 16:03, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I have moved the documentation to Template:Not done/doc and have added it there. Thanks, mattbr 15:19, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Protected edit request on 9 March 2014

[edit]

Please replace:

{{{{{|safesubst:}}}cross|18}} '''{{{{{|safesubst:}}}ucfirst:{{{1|Not done}}}}}'''

with:

[[File:X mark.svg|18px|link=]] '''{{{1|Not done}}}'''

which will reduce the template include size weight of this template by 39 characters. 39 doesn't sound like much, but this template is currently used 34 times on Template:Admin dashboard which is adding 1326 characters to the template expand problem noted Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 124#Admin dashboard. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 22:42, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've dropped protection to Template Editor, you should be able to do the edit yourself now.--Salix alba (talk): 23:22, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Any of the templates in the inline, content-level resolution tag family (like {{Note done}} and {{Fixed}}) can now be converted on the fly into a bordered, thread-level resolution hatnote tag (like {{Resolved}}), with the Template:Resbox wrapper.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  13:41, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pink link, but no current deletion discussion or TFD tag

[edit]

This tag displays pink (as if it is the subject of a deletion discussion with Anomie's link-classifying script), but the only discussion I can find at TFD was in 2006. Anyone know why (and how to make it display blue)? We use it on the Guild of Copy Editors request page. All the best, Miniapolis 16:46, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed fast-loading version

[edit]

This is a proposal to emit a non-image, unicode-based check mark, to address performance concerns with images at some projects. For example, WP:FAC expresses a concern about load time in the boxed material at the top of the page. I propose the following upgrade, to support a new param using an invocation like this:

{{not done|fast=y}}

Which would emit a lightweight, faster-loading, unicode check mark instead of an image. Compare:

slow:  Not done(current version)
  fast: Not done<span style="Font-size:165%; color:#bf2323; font-weight:900">&#x2718;</span> '''Not done'''
