Rationale[edit]

This was properly proposed. No objections were received after 5 days, satisfying WP:WSS's proposal requirement. After more than 5 days, one qualified support !vote expressed a belief that "pool" was too ambiguous, but did not offer a solution that works for both category and template names. "Pool" has not been too ambiguous for Category:Pool and its other subcategories. Other biography types that could be associated with the word "pool" in a different context either already have their own categories (swimmers and swimming coaches) or are categorically non-notable (swimming pool maintenance people, pool-bet gamblers, or someone somehow associated with naturally occurring pools of water), so "pool" is used for the stub type and stub category as well, unless and until such time as it is determined by consensus to be too ambiguous. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 20:21, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
