e
Eli Manning
I apologize, as I was watching the Giants-Bears game, I was virtually certain that Eli Manning was blind. I will check my sources and will edit the page again if he is ever indeed proven to be blind. (joking) Bluefield 00:24, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
well, heckaroony. That's two weeks in a row that my new friend Eli has helped me out. First, he scores all the Vikings' points. Then, he somehow manages to fuddle his way to a win against the central division rivals. I'm liking mini-manny more and more. He has single-handedly made a playoff team out of the Minnesota Lackings! Unrelated, I'm proud of your efforts in winning overearning receiving several supports in your ArbCom flirtation. Way to burn man. Fuego frio. Too bad you didn't get EndlessDan's vote though, thought you would have that one for sure. Happy edits, Keeper | 76 19:26, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Mr. Grossman, in my opinion, is a great QB to have as a division rival, and as much as I respect Kitna's ability to bounce off the turf like a "body opponent bag", he certainly doesn't have the support he needs. Also, the Wind of the Windy City sure was playing tricks on your kicker's mental state... Keeper | 76 19:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah, but we love hating our teams and hate loving them, don't we? I've been the fan that knows better for years and years. I've seen coaches, players, owners and stadiums come and go. Some good, some bad. Hang in there. Your boys have got a lock on a wildcard. I would take Eli Manning over many, many, many, many others. Keeper | 76 20:13, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Sorry to poor the salt there. I choose baseball over football any day. My two favorite baseball teams? 1. Piranhas. 2. Whoever is playing the most overpaid, undertalented, egotistical wannabes in baseball. Oops, that was supposed to link here. Basically I feel sorry for theseguys who likely will never see October baseball again simply because of the size of their owners' checkbooks. And as a diehard AL-er, I'm sorry, but my farmboys and Venezuelan superstars don't have a chance, hence hate develops. Really, it's just jealousy. When we loseallourbest players (coming soon) to bottomless East Coast pockets, it just festers out of control...Keeper | 76 21:35, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
You are absolutely right about deep pockets. Ourguyscertainly aren't hurting for ching, they just don't spend it as well, IMO. There's nothing sweeter than a billioniare begging the taxpayers for money for a stadium. That's called Kahonies. Part of me wants them to loosen the strings, but there is definitely the martyr-ific allure of being a "small market" team and defyingtheodds. Keeper | 76 15:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, it's still an if but looking more and more like a when. IMO, the Bo-sox need him. They're giving away Lester to get him. And being such an old park, I'm not sure the accessibility will be adequate to get theold-timers in the building, what with tennis-balled walkers and all. Roll the dice lacks consistency. Beckett is worrisome though, but not until late - only a matter of time before he becomes a new redirect. Whatever happens, I hope it's not the Tigers. Anybodybutthefreakin'Tigers. Sheesh. (at least one small market team knows how to spend it) Keeper | 76 17:56, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
and congrats right back to you. All in all, a goodweekend. 'Tis typical of my boys though. Just when you think you can stop the love, they pull a 4-game streak out their collective butts and get positive mention on ESPN. They will most certainly lose the next three. Callin' it. Playoffs? chya. I'm not a pessimist. Just a realist. They've done nothing in their existence to make me believe anything but heartache will follow... Keeper | 76 18:21, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I really just want April to get here. But really, I'm not a pessimist. Have you seen what the Vikings are capable of? And then a loss to the pre-Vicks on a field goal. Heartbreaking. Gary misses his one and only field goal and we lose by three in OT. Fast forward two years. Have another wonderteam. Then get blanked by your guys 41-0. Besides those two seasons, we have as many superbowl losses as the Upstate Baffoons. Besides my boys of summer in '87 and '91, no Minnesota team has ever won a national title. In any sport. ((Basketball isn't a sport). Ever. Not evenHockey. Pessimism? No. Martyrism? Perhaps. Realism? Definitely. Keeper | 76 16:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC) Ps. I hate Dallas too. They stole our hockey team.
thanks for the calm demenor in the face of this disruption. it gives me hope. I also hope a few more folks take you seriously on the arb election. I actually found many of your responses to the questions to be thoughtful and conscise and fully appropriate for the commitee. --Rocksanddirt 19:32, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
And hey, you're not losing!. Cheers, Keeper | 76 19:07, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Wow, that was the longest bit of Wiki-markup I've ever seen for a 12 word sentence. Kudos. I've purposely not included any here. Oh, damn, couldn'thelpmyself. Keeper | 76 19:59, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Slacker-cats.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Slacker-cats.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thanks for nothing
Fine I've removed my own comments myself, seeing as you do not want to help, even though this whole issue was originally one relating to a project your currrently apart of (Wikipedia:WikiProject Latinos). If you had an issue with what I posted, this is what you should have done yourself! Not go around behind my back winging to other users, aright if you had done this when I checked your talk page I would have got the hint and not just thought you never had a chance to read my comments! Also just a little pointer for your future comments, don't throw insults and start stuff with other users, because if you had at least taken some interest in what I was saying to you, you would understand that this is one of the things that got me into trouble. Your lucky I'm not one of the users I was referring to in my original comments, as your comments would have led to the exact same predicament I was in. TeePee-20.7 (talk) 15:21, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
You should reconsider your commitment to that project and if you are not going to be involved in it, why be apart of it at all? TeePee-20.7 (talk) 15:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:NedneyFinger.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:NedneyFinger.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 21:07, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
The WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter is starting up an interview segment that has been in the works for some time now. The current schedule for interviews can be seen here. If you would like to submit a question for an interviewee, please do so by following the instructions here. We are accepting questions for any future interviews. If you would like to sign up to be interviewed, then you may do so here. We hope that this segment will be one of the most popular this project's newsletter has to offer, and promote a greater sense of community amongst the project members. The first interview will be published in next week's issue, and will be with TJ Spyke.
In other matters, we are still running low on current events. If you know of any in the wrestling world that you believe merit mention in the newsletter, or wish to comment on any other aspect of the newsletter, then please contact us here. Thanks everyone, and enjoy the holiday season.

9W - 5L
Sorry 'bout that ridiculous wind, dude. The best statistic of the night? 34 incompletions. Most since 1967 (Joe Namath). Ouch. Of course, when a dozen of them are inexplicablydropped, you can't really blame the QB too much. Sorry about the broken leg. That sucks too. I actually hoped for a Giants win, Vikes get the 'Skins next and I was hoping that they would be out of the playoff picture before next Sunday's game. oh well. On another note...
You've made my quote page! About once a month (maybe twice), something in an AfD, talk page or otherwise, strikes me as entirely hilarious. When I find one, I add it to my quote page, forever preserved for posterity. Click here to see your quote! Keeper | 76 21:05, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism?
The information that I put in Hank Steinbrenner's page is true!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

Eli Manning
Hi there,
I have seen multiple times on Wikipedia where there will be a popular culture reference made on a particular page and no reference is given. I am just trying to understand when it's acceptable and when it's not acceptable, when I need to make sure I have some kind of reference and when I don't need one.
Any help would really be appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcnick056 (talk • contribs) 17:48, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:CraigCarton.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:CraigCarton.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Muchness (talk) 10:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Another image you uploaded, Image:NedneyFinger.jpg, may also fail the first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. --Muchness (talk) 10:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello. Please don't remove {{di-replaceable fair use}} templates. If you believe that a free replacement image cannot be reasonably found or created, please add the following tag: {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|Your reason why a free replacement can not be found or created}} --Muchness (talk) 17:47, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
