Reviewing
[edit]Translation
[edit]Paris Metro Line 12. My first lengthy translation attempt anywhere, it taught me something about both languages; notably railway jargon.
Courrier International. An interesting read and concept for a weekly paper. The French article is by no means perfect, but better share something with English readers.
Haussmann's renovation of Paris - Revisions to the entire article, for both better expression in English and closer to the meaning of the French original.
French constitutional law of 23 July 2008 - revised initial paragraphs of a poor/machine translation.
Copy-editing/clean-up
[edit]Note: For practical reasons I am now only occasionally recording especially demanding or interesting articles. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/September 2011 for my articles done during that month. I regularly pick up requests from Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests and make fixes in articles as I read them. Personal requests on my talk page are welcome.

Thanks so much for taking on the currency war article. I was reluctant to ask for help from the guild, as I wouldnt even trust most econ PGs to understand that topic. Several of the sentences that might seem poorly phrased are probably the clearest way to concisely express the various nuances and interrelations without over simplifying or loosing NPOV. I thought a lot of information might be lost. But almost every change was an improvement. Probably you either really know your finance or you've been blessed with exceptional instincts. It was a real honour! FeydHuxtable (talk) 11:36, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your help in copy-editing The Beatles in India. Even 'minor' improvements are worthwhile, and some of yours weren't minor at all. After you edited it I made a few more changes, and moved some sentences for better flow.[1] I hope I haven't ruined it! ;) I'm going to double check some of the references, and will nominate it for FAC soon. Your contributions will help the article qualify. Will Beback talk 21:47, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
