From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm currently an undergrad student double-majoring in exercise science/pre-PT and modern foreign languages. I'll be graduating in 2015 and hope to pursue either a Master's degree in biomechanics or a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I'm an avid runner and I compete for my college's cross country and track teams. I'm also a triathlete. The art and science behind training fascinates me, so I hope to dabble in coaching at some point.

I edit articles on Wikipedia to guide my independent studies in subjects that interest me, which include: running, triathlon, exercise physiology, and biomechanics (among other related topics).

I'm fairly new to Wikipedia, so if I've done something wrong or if I could do something better I'm open to constructive criticism. I hope to continue editing consistently, but I tend drop my leisure activities when I encounter something of greater priority to me (school, training, socializing).

To do list[edit]

  • Completely refine running economy; started with the opening paragraph, but the rest of the article is lacking in content and poorly referenced
  • Add content to lactate threshold; the current content is sparse, but well-written, and contains no references
  • Add and refine content for vVO2max; in general the article is not done well, definitely needs new lead section, more material and references, and better quality of information
  • Attempt to improve training effect; I have no literature on this subject, but am willing to give it a shot if time allows
  • Revise overtraining; as the heading says, the article is basically a list and could use some more cohesive text
  • Add to and find references for sports periodization
