Olga María Avilés López[1] (Honduras)

Olga Avilés was born in Honduras to a Nicaraguan family. When she was two years old, the family moved back to Nicaragua.[2]

She was a member of the sandinista "Juan José Quezada" commando. On December 1974, the group executed the Operation Victorious December (Operación Diciembre Victorioso), which allowed the FSLN to exchange prisoners and set Daniel Ortega free.[3]

After the success of the Nicaraguan Revolution, she worked as ambassador to Vietnam.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).
