Zephyr Dance Company ("Zephyr Dance," also sometimes known as and incorporated under the name The Zephyr Dance Ensemble[1] ) is an all-female contemporary dance company and non-profit organization [2] [3] based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. [4] [5] As one of the Chicago Park District's nationally-recognized "Arts Partners in Residence," based in the historic Holstein Park Fieldhouse in Holstein Park, [6] as well as an "Arts Partner" of the Chicago Public Schools, [7] [8] Zephyr Dance provides educational classes and workshops for students in the Chicago Public School system as well as outreach to its local and regional communities, while performing throughout the Chicago metropolitan area at venues such as The Athenaeum Theatre[9] [10], The Dance Center of Columbia College [11] [12], the Duncan YMCA Chernin Center for the Arts[13][14], Links Hall[15][16] [17], and The Ruth Page Center for the Arts[18][19] [20], as well as dancing regularly in Chicago's annual Dance Chicago Festival and NEXT Dance Festival. Zephyr Dance tours regionally in the Midwest as well as nationally throughout the year. [21]
