A section of employees of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), including engineers, staged a protest at its headquarters on Wednesday against the authority's land pooling policy and compulsory retirements.
The agitators, part of the All DDA Employee's Association, held the protest at Vikas Sadan, DDA headquarters and said they would continue their agitation if their demands are not met.
“All 14,000 employees of DDA are terrified and feeling insecure because of the compulsory retirement policy brought in under Article 56 J. How can you retire someone who has many years of working life left and has many responsibilities? Untimely retirement is inhuman” said Param Yadav, the president of the association. }
