User:voorts/Proposed merger log

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a log of articles that I have proposed for merging.

April 2023

[edit]
  1. European Union's scientific cooperation beyond the bloc into Foreign relations of the European Union: discussion opened 21:43, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
  2. Alcanzar una estrella (album) into Alcanzar una estrella: discussion opened 20:49, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
  3. Alcanzar una estrella II (album) into Alcanzar una estrella II: discussion opened 20:51, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
  4. Muñecos de Papel (album) into Alcanzar una estrella II: discussion opened 20:56, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
  5. Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery into Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero: discussion opened 17:19, 30 April 2023 (UTC)

May 2023

[edit]
  1. Diamonitirion into Monastic community of Mount Athos: discussion opened 02:20, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Diamonitirion fails WP:GNG on its own, but should be (and already is) noted in this article.

February 2024

[edit]
  1. Phoenix Hill Football Stadium into Chengdu Rongcheng F.C.: discussion opened 02:56, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I do not see evidence that this stadium is independently notable. Only one source (qq.com) provides SIGCOV of the stadium and I could not find more sources to establish notability for a separate article

May 2024

[edit]
  1. Finn (short story) into You Like It Darker: discussion opened 01:13, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I do not believe that "Finn" is notable. The only reviews in reliable sources appear to be in the context of broader reviews of You Like It Darker, and none of those reviews devote more than a sentence or two to the story. A brief plot summary and reception can be included in the article on the book.

July 2024

[edit]
  1. Future of the United States Navy into List of current ships of the United States Navy#Future ships: discussion opened 21:37, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Future of the United States Navy is an unnecessary content fork that requires editors to maintain two basically identical lists. In my view, that outweighs that this is probably a valid navigational list and a valid list of a discrete class of items. (The fact that similar lists exist for other nations, such as List of future Spanish Navy ships, is not relevant per WP:WAX.) There are two columns in Future of the United States Navy that are not present in this list: "builder" and "status". Those columns can, however, be added to the other sections, and having more relevant information in one section of the list isn't a bad thing.
  2. Korçë Crisis (1916–1920) into Autonomous Province of Korçë: discussion opened 00:44, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

August 2024

[edit]
  1. Order of battle in the invasion of France (1795) into Invasion of France: discussion opened 23:45, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Per WP:NOPAGE, this list needs more context to be encyclopedic, and I don't see a good reason to have this forked from the main page. There's currently no navigational value to this list.

September 2024

[edit]
  1. Lundstrom Stones into Lifting stone: discussion opened 21:53, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
  2. Loch Lomond (Runrig song) into The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond: discussion opened 23:15, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
  3. Protect and Survive (song) into The Cutter and the Clan: discussion opened 16:04, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of the song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. The chart performance can be merged to the album article. If reliable sources are added, information about the single's various releases and track listings an be merged as well.
  4. News from Heaven into Searchlight (album): discussion opened 16:37, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of the song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. The Release and promotion section is sourced to a self-published database of Runrig set lists and performance dates. Chart performance can be merged to the album article. If reliable sources are added, information about the single's various releases and track listings an be merged as well.
  5. Flower of the West into The Big Wheel (album): discussion opened 17:37, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of the song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. The National Museums Scotland source is a blog post by a scholar who spoke at a presentation that required the purchase of tickets to attend (see the advertisement to purchase tickets at the bottom of the post). In any event, that scholar's brief assessment of the song is not SIGCOV. Per NSONG, a song needs to be reviewed independently of the album, so the AllMusic review also doesn't establish notability. Chart performance can be merged to the album article. If reliable sources are added, information about the single's various releases and track listings an be merged as well. Posted with permission: Goodreg3 opposes for the reasons discussed on his talk page and this AfD discussion.
  6. The Greatest Flame and Wonderful (Runrig song) into Amazing Things (Runrig album): discussion opened 22:51, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of either song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. The single review from Music Week for The Greatest Flame is insufficient to establish notability, as NSONG requires multiple reliable sources. The source runrig.rocks in both articles is a self-published database of Runrig set lists and performance dates. The chart performance and reception information can be merged to the album article. If reliable sources are added, information about the single's various releases and track listings an be merged as well.
  7. Empty Glens into Proterra (album): discussion opened 23:05, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
  8. Book of Golden Stories into The Stamping Ground: discussion opened 23:21, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of the song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. Zobbel.de is a self-published source with UK chart logs (and the citation here is just to the homepage). Runrig.rocks is a self-published database of Runrig set lists and performance dates. The 2002 Billboard article is not about the song. RAMzine is a routine announcement of the song's release. The reliability of Music Talkers is questionable, but in any event, the song is only briefly mentioned. Music Scotland is a record sales website. The chart performance is reliably sourced and can be merged to the album article. The track listings can be merged if reliable sources are cited. Posted with permission: Goodreg3 opposes for the reasons discussed on his talk page and this AfD discussion.
  9. Maymorning into In Search of Angels: discussion opened 23:38, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I have been unable to find significant coverage of the song in reliable sources, as required by WP:NSONG. The 2001 Billboard article is not about the song. The Bylines Scotland article is not an in-depth review of the song. It briefly mentions the song as an example of how some of Runrig's songs were "about agriculture, land conservation and religion" and states that "Maymorning is one such example as a story of renewal and environmental consciousness"; the article then goes on to quote some lyrics. Even if that is significant coverage of the song, a single review in a reliable source is insufficient to establish notability under NSONG. Runrig.rocks is a self-published database of Runrig set lists and performance dates. The chart performance is reliably sourced and can be merged to the album article. The track listings can be merged if reliable sources are cited. Posted with permission: Goodreg3 opposes for the reasons discussed on his talk page and this AfD discussion.
  10. Things That Are (song) into Mara (album): discussion opened 01:58, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
