How to nominate an article to GA
[edit]Follow this link and enter the name of the page at the bottom of the section list. When you've done that, add a GA nomination template on the talk page of the article, as seen here.

Question, how did you find me? --TIAYN (talk) 20:17, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- I've just looked up list of nominations about cinema. Finding the right people is feature of my nature ) ok, I'll try do it or will try find people who will do it fo me ) tnx a lot --Алый Король (talk) 20:50, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
When you create a beyond-WP:STUB article like Leo Klejn, consider adding inline citations and nominate your work at T:TDYK for a front-page exposure. Also, consider adding WP:ASSESS talk page tags like I did for you. Thanks! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:10, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sure I don't have to remind you that DYKs don't all have to be self-noms, Piotrus! Anyway, I dropped by here to say well done to Алый Король for translating that article – I can't believe the English wikipedia didn't have anything on Klejn up until now. I've already started wikifying and cleaning it up according to the English WP's conventions, and the inline citations can be restored from the original Russian article. I believe there's still a couple of days left to nominate it for DYK. —Joseph RoeTk•Cb, 16:33, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: File:Yulian Semyonov.jpg
[edit]Hello Алый Король. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of File:Yulian Semyonov.jpg, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:34, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- hm, Malik. I dont understand you. You cannot use free image because of non-free, so what should I do? --Алый Король (talk) 20:39, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- I see. That requires a move, not a deletion. I'll move the file. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:42, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- it's something new for me )) in Russian Wiki it's obvious reason to delete non-free image, anyway thank you for help, Malik --Алый Король (talk) 20:46, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Yuri Semenov, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sverdlovsk. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hanyu Pinyin is only used for Mainlanders. For Taiwanese people, we should use Wade-Giles romanization. Such as 馬英九, the correct spelling of his name is Ma Ying-jeou, not Ma Yingjiu.--Dabao qian (talk) 05:54, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

The article Yuri Semenov has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Ways to improve Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award (ICWNE)
[edit]Hello, Алый Король,
Thank you for creating Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award (ICWNE).
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
The article needs copyediting for structure: it shouldn't include a quote that's 1/3rd the length of an article, and much of the information currently in the lead should be moved to body sections of the article (see WP:LEAD)
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rosguill}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Thank you for your interest in improving wikipedia. However when there is a controversy, you have to explain your edits in detail, each piece. Please take part in the talk page discussions. In particular, see Talk:Anatoly_Shariy#revert_of_Алый_Король's_edits.
Also, when you are replacing some word, (e.g. Sharij into Sharij) you hve to be careful and do to replace the words in file names, external links, etc, because this breaks the links. Staszek Lem (talk) 16:40, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Request to validate a source
[edit]Hi Алый Король. I am grateful that you mention that you could be of help to validate some sources in the Deportation of Chinese in the Soviet Union, but I am not sure whether you now have time to help. Currently, one of the sources [2], which is from the Voice of America (VoA) Chinese, is questioned by a member of the Chinese Wikipedia community. The source talks about three topics:
- a monument in Blagoveshchensk was set up in October 2012 in memory of ethnic cleansing in the Far East.
- a book exhibition regarding 1930s political repression at the Amur Oblast Library.
- the history of Chinese being repressed in the Soviet Union according to Larin, an expert in Chinese immigrant history in Russia.
Although the reports by VoA are regarded reliable sources on English Wikipedia, it doesn't seem the case to the Chinese Wikipedia community with regards to its reports in Chinese. So I tried to validate this source with reports from other news agencies on my own, but I hardly find any in Chinese or English to validate the first and second topics as mentioned above. I will be most grateful it you can add some sources in Russian to add to the reliability of the content, or else it could be super weird that the events with some many participants have little exposure on the media.
Thanks in advance! --HNlander (talk) 12:37, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, HNlander. I am glad to help. The monument was built, but it was built to perpetuate the memory of ALL politically repressed, in particular the Amur residents. The largest news portal in Russia speaks about this as clearly as possible.
Previously, monuments to the politically repressed were opened in Tambovka, the city of Shimanovsk, the village of Novobureisky, the villages of Semiozerka, Semidomka, Nikolaevka, Novokievsky Uval. The monument opened today became the eighth in the region.
The monument consists of several plates entangled with symbolic barbed wire, a white flower rises above them.
According to the regional government, more than a million prisoners from all over the Soviet Union were kept in the Amur camps, including about 100,000 Amur residents. Many were posthumously rehabilitated.
Nothing about Chinese. --Алый Король (talk) 01:16, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information. I have deleted the related content and added new verifiable content. Really appreciate your help. --HNlander (talk) 08:44, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- You are welcome. --Алый Король (talk) 15:34, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
