January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm The Banner. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Munich Airport have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. The Banner talk 10:41, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at John F. Kennedy International Airport, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Primium (talk) 20:23, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The IP editor reverted is a sock of the LTA Leon103102, who's been evading his block for about 6.5 years and running. That IP and at least 17 other IP socks who've been targeting the JFK article (among many others) since at least September last year have been summarily reverted, including these [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] that contain similar or identical content to that which I reverted.
I'll cop to reverting on sight per [8] without consideration of the content (which, by my understanding of policy, is still allowed), but I disagree that I didn't give a valid reason for removal. The user is such an extensive socker that it'd be a large timesink to delve too deeply into his edits beyond surface level, especially since his edits often fly under the radar before being noticed. 107.128.181.22 (talk) 21:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of sources[edit]

Sources are not an unnecessary detail but vital information. Per WP:V. The Banner talk 11:12, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am well aware. I wasn't referring to the sources themselves being "unnecessary detail," rather to the added content (e.g. seat configuration of the plane, load factor of the flight). The sources provided were only cited by the edits adding the above info, hence their concomitant removal. 107.128.181.22 (talk) 21:55, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know I did not revert the seat configuration. The Banner talk 22:24, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When did I say that you did? And for that matter, when did I state that "sources are not an unnecessary detail?" 107.128.181.22 (talk) 08:58, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
