Reliables sources[edit]

You added the article Boogeyman II (2007 film) without providing any sources. It's rather surprising that I cannot find any sort of writeup about this movie. In fact, even IMDB which is rather comprehensive has no listing for it. - Whpq (talk) 15:42, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

January 2010[edit]

Please do not add hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did in the article Boogeyman II (2007 film). Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please don't disrupt Wikipedia in an attempt to test our ability to detect and remove such material. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 21:47, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Boogeyman (franchise) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is a hoax. There are no reliable sources that can be found to support the article. IMDB is rather comprehensive on listing movies, and there is no Boogeyman II listed as a 2007 film starring a bunch of professianl wrestlers as asserted in the article. There is a Boogeyman II but it is a 1983 film. And there is a Boogeyman 2 which is a 2007 film but is not the one described in this article. I also engaged an editor very familiar with movies to doublecheck. See this diff.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Whpq (talk) 21:57, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
