Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Seasider53 (talk) 15:03, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please explain how you come to that conclusion and how on earth can you reasonably make him Brititsh!?? 146.90.190.136 (talk) 15:44, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are a scotmans with a chip on your shoulder. You are just bias! You should change Alexander Fleming to British because his surname originates in flander in Beligium and the Flemish people are a proud people! Smeaton is Anglo-Saxon and means' Settlements of the Smiths from which the surname came. 146.90.190.136 (talk) 15:47, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no English nationality. I can keep saying it if you like. Seasider53 (talk) 15:54, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
no english nationality?? what are you on about!! LOL! You are insane! He is a yorkshireman from England, we have our own flag and national football team! How is he British?? answer me!! 146.90.190.136 (talk) 16:01, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And i will report you and stop you editing your bias nonsense! You are against all English people and common sense! I have all the info i need to back up my reasons after my discussions with you. I have got this overturned on another wiki person and i will with you unless you leave it alone! You have given me no reason at all to keep John Smeaton as British! 146.90.190.136 (talk) 16:28, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at John Smeaton shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for disruptive editing. You appear to be on a crusade which is not what Wikipedia is for.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:09, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.

146.90.190.136, regarding this edit of yours and my revert (to which you objected in a most un-Wiki-like manner), I would draw your attention to the fact that you added additional text after the word "English". Nationalities are never described in that manner. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:32, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You offer no reasons why Ellie Baker cannot be called English as in other wiki articles. Plus you call Nigel Gresely British in the main artile but for some imconprehensible reason you call him Scottish in the side box!
There are plenty of artiles on here that are consitent and reprsented fairly but you have decided to go against the interests of the public and of common sense.
It's no suprise you keep getting downvotes for your alterations.
I'm going to send you name to GB news and Talk TV because they will love racists and bigors like you. Maybe then we can get Wikipedia in the news for people like you! 146.90.190.136 (talk) 15:42, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop embarrassing yourself. Seasider53 (talk) 15:45, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There really is no conspiracy. Wikipedia is inconsistent in this regard, and there is no policy on it because Wikipedia editors can't agree, but changing it arbitrarily is disruptive, and personally attacking other editors is unacceptable, which is why you're blocked. And I say all this as an Englishman, though I wouldn't feel the need to argue if someone described me as British. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:59, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are not reasonable and have given no reason for your altertations! Mine are common sense and are in harmony with other contribitions to people who are properly represented under the same criteria,
You are self serving and you can't see it. you should not be editing wiki!
An architect? Yes of your own self serving prejudicial interests!
What you are doing you will not gte away with. You don't appreciate common sense. If a person like Ellie Baker with her English surname as born and raised here then i see no reason to keep her as British and not English like most of the other athletes on here! 146.90.190.136 (talk) 21:20, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits have all been reversed and you've been blocked because of your behavior. This means that if you don't alter your approach and instead you keep firing off these wild rants, it's because you don't want these articles to use the word "English." You know how to get your changes to stick so now it's just a matter of seeing if you actually want them to. CityOfSilver 04:42, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My 'so called' behaviour is because none of you have given me any answers to why you inistant on being an old dinsaur intent on personal power regardless of common sense and deceny! the world is changing and so should wikipedia!
If i changed the content of the history of the peson and his achievemnents to distort it. because i could, then i would understand. But my changes had nothing to do with anything but the simple notion that someone born and raised in England is English by nationality! You can't call someone British under those circumstances. The word is obscure but the definition is not!
And like i said, wiki needs to be cosistent with other entries of public figures on here. It's just a mess! 146.90.190.136 (talk) 16:05, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You absolutely know that if you keep behaving like this, those articles are going to call those people "British." You also absolutely know that if you don't stop with these frantic, enraged messages, you'll be blocked again. This message from you means you genuinely, sincerely don't want them changed to "English." Unbelievable. CityOfSilver 23:47, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
