Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, Idiots FC. It did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Don't feel too badly; lots of people have a little trouble when creating their first article. You might find it useful to read Your First Article for some good advice about starting to create articles on Wikipedia. Two important rules of thumb are: Avoid writing about yourself, your business, your family and friends, or your web page, and avoid writing about anything that hasn't been written about in reliable sources like books, newspapers, and magazines. Anyway, don't be discouraged. I've deleted the article you created, and feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. If I've made a mistake, and this article really is about a subject that meets the notability criteria, then please let me know by leaving me a message and links to at least three newspaper articles, magazine articles, or books that have been written about the subject, and I'll be glad to undelete it, and even add the sources so no other patroller makes the same mistake. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:01, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

September 2012[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Idiots FC, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:05, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

André Lotterer is a notable driver but not in the context of Caterham F1, or in F1 generally. He drove only part of one race and then effectively shunned the team by saying he wanted better opportunities. As things stand you are edit-warring and also editing against consensus which are both disruptive activities within the encyclopedia. If you do not agree with the consensus that Lotterer should not be included then please feel free to raise the matter at Wiki talk F1. Will Stevens also only drove one race for the team but might be considered more notable as he has gone on to race for another F1 team. I therefore would not remove him at this stage, but other editors may feel differently. Eagleash (talk) 07:01, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did not remove Stevens, but another editor did (as indicated might happen, above). Both his and Lotterer's contributions to F1 are negligible at this stage and thus they are not included in lists of notable drivers. On another note please sign talk pages posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce a signature and timestamp. Or you can use the sign button in the toolbar at the top of the page (small pencil icon). Eagleash (talk) 15:05, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
