April 2021[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Valley of Stars have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 17:45, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Greek fire. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Materialscientist (talk) 18:17, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

May 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm Allninemice. I noticed that in this edit to Jan van Eyck, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~ANM🐁 T·C 19:32, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Toni Frissell. Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Toni Frissell was changed by 168.8.211.62 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.947408 on 2021-05-05T19:39:38+00:00

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

The IP address (Which I'm assuming I'm sharing with another user) was blocked, and I have not made any changes to Wikipedia under this IP. I only realized I was blocked when I tried to fix a grammatical error on an article. The block shows that I am unable to create an account, which is the only way to avoid shared IP blocks. The reason given for the block was vandalism, from edits on a page. There seemed to have been several requests for change of behavior, which I assume weren't followed. I don't know how to prove that this is a shared IP, but hopefully this can get resolved. Thank you for reviewing. 168.8.211.62 (talk) 16:43, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As noted, you may create an account elsewhere, or you may request one at WP:ACC. 331dot (talk) 18:02, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I believe you that this IP is shared. It appears to belong to a school system. The problem is that we've been seeing vandalism and vandalism attempts from multiple IP's in this range. As such, the range is blocked in order to protect the project. You can still edit if you create an account somewhere else first - only logged-out editors are blocked from editing.
